Barberry - Golden Ruby® - Sale Price: $78.45 The Barberry 'Golden Ruby', Berberis thunbergii 'Goruzam', is a standout with a stunning color transformation throughout the season. It has spring foliage that emerges a striking fluorescent orange, and in the summer its leaves mature to a burgundy maroon, with a gold ring around the outer leaf margin. Its fall color is a flame orange to brick red, and this bold color combination adds drama in the garden against more subdued landscape plantings. Juniper - Blue Pacific - Sale Price: $64.25 The Juniper 'Blue Pacific', Juniperus conferta 'Blue Pacific', is an improved Shore Juniper with a height of 12-15 inches and capable of spreading 6 to 8 feet. The trailing growth, with beautiful blue-green foliage and fast growth, makes it a good ground cover. It keeps its good color all year round. 'Blue Pacific' is a ground cover type juniper used in foundation plantings, around tall shrubs and trees. It looks especially lovely draped over retaining walls and crawling over raised beds. Witch-hazel - Common - Sale Price: $64.25 The Common Witch-Hazel, Hamamelis virginiana, is extraordinary in its flowering habits. It flowers in late October to early December. Many times its slender yellow petals are the only signs of color in the dormant woods. Witch-hazel is pollinated by the winter moth. After pollination, the fruits become dormant for the winter, developing over the following growing season and maturing in the fall, 10-12 months after pollination. Seeds are dispersed by gravity, or are eaten and excreted by birds. Witch-hazel seeds germinate the following spring or enter the seed bank. Early growth is slow, and in fact remains slow throughout the life of the tree in its typical shady habitat. As individuals, witch-hazel probably does not live more than 100 years, but they reproduce from root sprouts, and clones may live for a very long time.
