Aristocrat Flowering Pear
The Aristocrat Flowering Pear tree, Pyrus calleryana 'Aristocrat', is a beautiful tree that is attractive in all four seasons. It produces masses of white flowers in early spring, (before the leaves appear), followed by bright, glossy green, disease resistant foliage. Leaves turn a deep to reddish-purple in mid to late fall to provide spectacular fall color.  The clean winter outline is upright to pyramidal when young and becomes broadly oval at maturity. Aristocrat Flowering Pear trees have a more dominant trunk and open form that helps this deciduous, flowering species, to be less susceptible to wind damage. Home owners and landscapers place this tree in prominent locations because of the year around beauty it provides. It is tolerant to a wide range of soil pH’s.

Persimmon - DetailsPersimmon - Sale Price: $78.50
Ornamental Tree with Edible Fruit  The persimmon is a deciduous ornamental tree with edible fruit. You could plant one in a side or back yard where you can enjoy the ornamental feature but not be bothered by dropping fruit on sidewalks or driveways. Your Persimmon tree has several outstanding features, including some of the most delightful little flowers you’ve ever seen. Tiny white, bell-shaped flowers dangle from the spring branches. You’ll love how the creamy white petals are adorably kissed with yellow at the tips, and emit a pleasing sweet fragrance. Another fascinating feature of your Persimmon tree is the dark grey ornamental bark. This is especially showy in the winter months when the leaves have fallen. As lovely as the flowers and bark are however, the Persimmon tree truly shines when its fall harvest begins. The Persimmon fruit starts out green, but slowly transitions to an orange/deep red shade. The 2- inch, round fruit has a sticky, sweet interior that is unique in its flavor and texture. Persimmon fruits are low in calories and fat, but high in fiber, vitamins and other nutrients. They can be eaten fresh or used in preserves and various other dishes. The shiny 2-6 inch ovate foliage is bright green on top with a paler underside, and fills out the rounded crown quite nicely. Those leaves will later transform to yellow, reds and purples in their fall glory. Persimmon trees are lovely ornamentals with outstanding fall fruit. The persimmon tree is, quite simply, a tree an attractive tree with many benefits. * Edible fruit * Spring flowers * Ornamental bark

Purple Blooms All Summer Long The Crape Myrtle is a deciduous shrub that provides delightful purple color all summer long.  Plant one in your ornamental bed or anywhere you’d enjoy enduring color. The best feature of the Crape Myrtle is certainly the impressive purple display it enacts each year.  Beginning in early summer and continuing into the fall, your Crape Myrtle will dazzle you with its purple blossoms that appear in large clusters at the tips of its branches.  Hummingbirds, dragonflies and butterflies will love your yard, but you won’t have to worry about deer having the same interest.  When the crepe-like flowers fall, the brown capsules of the fruit remain, providing another decorative feature of the plant.   Crape Myrtle grows 10-20 feet in height with an 8-10 feet spread.  It won’t give you any trouble if you chose to prune it to a small shape, and it’s drought tolerant and quite hardy.  You’ll love how the Crape Myrtle seems to be always awash in color.  Even the leaves start out as a charming bronze in the spring.  They then transition into a verdant green that endures throughout the summer months.  When fall arrives your Myrtle will once again immerse itself in color as its leaves transform into brilliant reds and yellows.   The Crape Myrtle has something to offer whatever the season, and it will certainly offer you enjoyment for years to come. * Year round color* Hardy

Red Maple - October Glory - DetailsRed Maple - October Glory - Sale Price: $54.95
Fast-Growing with Long-Lasting Color This Red Maple (Acer rubrum October Glory) is known for its rapid growth and enduring fall color. In fact, its “October Glory” display of orange-red leaves lasts far longer than many other Maples.  For several weeks you will be treated to one of the most vibrant displays of any tree in your neighborhood. It would look spectacular in your yard as a central focus, or equally at home near other plantings due to its narrow, upward growth. October Glory is one of the most popular Maples for many reasons.  Tiny spots of fiery red flower clusters appear on the bare branches in the spring while the rest of your yard is still muted in browns and greys.  The birds will flock to the small, elongated red fruits that accompany the flowers.  Glossy green leaves will appear next, some slightly tinted with a reddish hue.  As summer progresses, your Maple will grow 2 feet or more, achieving an oval-rounded form for optimal shade. The October Glory can reach heights of 50' tall and 40' wide.  It’s far more tolerant of some soil and weather conditions than other Maples, and forgiving of a neglectful nature.  For a carefree, rapid-growth Maple of vibrant color you can’t do better than the October Glory. * Long lasting fall color* rapid growth* hardy
