The Baboon Flower, 'Babiana Stricta', a spring planted corm, produces lovely mixed color flowers. The fragrant flowers are cup-shaped when open and are borne in an open spike. The blooms open successively from the lowest upward. Babiana look a little like a gladiolus, but the flowers are much smaller. Babiana Stricta is great for containers.
