The Bonide Termite and Carpenter Ant Spray (Quart) is a new, advanced third generation pyrethroid technology. This ready to use spray is quick acting, long lasting and odorless. The active ingredient, Deltamethrin 0.02%, controls carpenter ants, termites, ants, carpenter bees, wasps, hornets, yellow jackets, mud daubers. It provides 4 month residual control and has indoor and outdoor control. The most likely species to be infesting a house in the United States is the Black carpenter ant, Camponotus pennsylvanicus. Despite its name, the Black carpenter ant may have yellow markings on it. Be wary of this variety as the sting is very painful. The eastern subterranean termite is the most common North American termite. They feed on cellulose material such as wood, wood fixtures, paper, books and cotton.
