Clematis - Blue Light Clematis Blue Light, Clematis 'Blue Light®', is an exceptional Clematis that boasts fully double 5-6 flowers of violet blue. Blue Light is an exceptionally free flowering variety and a nice compact grower. Perfect size for an impressive container planting! Enjoy the blooms in late spring through early summer and then again from late summer until fall! Clematis 'Blue Light®', needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs and over walls. Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply a generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. Blue Light is a very good performer once established and they take a season or two to get going. | Sedum - Lemon Drop - Sale Price: $49.95 Sedum Lemon Drop, Sedum 'Lemon Drop', is a neat little plant for rock gardens or as a ground cover. This selection has nice succulent green leaves and bright yellow flowers that appear in late summer and fall. The sprays of the bright yellow flowers are held just above the foliage on this easy-to-grow plant. Lemon Drop hugs the ground and may reach just 6 inches in height, but has a 12 inch spread. It is best to apply a thin layer of compost each spring, followed by a 2-inch layer of mulch to retain moisture and control weeds. | Astilbe - Fanal - Sale Price: $49.95 The Astilbe ‘Fanal’, Astilbe arendsii, is a colorful feathery flower with deep red blooms and lacy deep green or bronze-green foliage. The foliage in spring is mahogany, but as autumn approaches, the blooms turn to shades of brown that look wonderful in winter snowscapes. The flowers contrast wonderfully with the dark green glossy foliage. Astilbe ‘Fanal’ blooms in midsummer and is 24” tall and a plant width of 18-24”. Do not allow Astilbe ‘Fanal’ to dry out. In order to keep Astilbe looking good for the next year, do not cut it back in the winter, (the old foliage helps protect the plant from winter damage), but prune in early spring. | Coneflower - Magnus - Sale Price: $49.95 The Echinacea ‘Magnus’ Coneflower, Echinacea purpurea, also known as Purple Coneflower, Hedge coneflower, and Black Sampson, is an easy to grow flower. It produces beautiful deep purple daisy-like flowers that are a bit larger than the rest of its family. It was Perennial Plant of the Year in 1998, one can see why! ‘Magnus’ blooms from July to October and is a major attractor to butterflies and bees; deer resistant. | Hosta - Key West - Sale Price: $42.75 Hosta Key West, Hosta 'Key West', is a member of the 'Americana Series'. This very large, fast growing Hosta is a cross between Hosta 'Elatior' and 'High Noon'. Lavender flowers are formed in early summer. Hosta 'Key West' is a lovely plant with its smooth heart shaped leaves and pleasing gold color. The bright gold, heart-shaped leaves are very large and form a clump of foliage that when mature, will reach over 6' across! 'Key West', is a low care perennial and is ideal for shady positions and is one of the most popular for landscapes. It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails.
