Peony - President Roosevelt - Sale Price: $71.35 Peony President Roosevelt, Paeonia lactiflora 'President Roosevelt', is a favorite for a mid spring display and boasts brilliant double red and striking very large semi-rose flowers. Its pronounced yellow stamens add a nice contrast. The flowers have good stems, are richly fragrant, and make great cut flowers. Peony President Roosevelt seldom needs to be divided or moved, but if it is needed, it should be done in the fall. Trim off old stems to the ground in late fall too, to help prevent disease problems. Grass - Weeping Love - Sale Price: $64.25 The Grass 'Weeping Love', Eragrostis curvula, is a wiry perennial grass with narrow, light green foliage; foliage is wispy and moves in the wind. Arching, lavender-gray panicles appear in mid to late summer. The drooping leaf characteristic gives rise to the name “weeping” lovegrass. This grass features dark green, fine textured, almost hair-like foliage that forms dense clumps. The seed heads are erect or drooping and produce small very numerous seeds. This grass grows on almost any well-drained soil, but prefers the sandy loams; also will grow on low fertility soils; responds well to fertilization. 'Weeping Love' is a grass that is perfect for erosion control and can be used in mass plantings, as a specimen, or in borders. It prefers a light-textured, well-drained soil, and will thrive on soils of low fertility. This grass is very drought tolerant and tough.

Fern - Christmas - Sale Price: $42.75 The Christmas Fern, 'Polystichum acrostichoides', occurs in both dry and moist wooded slopes, moist banks and ravines. It typically grows in a fountain-like clump to 2' tall and features leathery, lance-shaped, evergreen (green at Christmas time as the common name suggests) fronds. The stocking shape of the pinnae also suggests Christmas! Crosiers (young fiddleheads) in spring are silvery and scaled.  Sori appear on the undersides of the pinnae only at the ends (last 1/3) of the fronds.   Christmas ferns are asymmetrical with a fine texture and have a moderately dense crown. The evergreen fronds provide good winter interest for the landscape. This fern does not spread but the clumps increase in size over time.  These plants serve as wonderful hosts for butterfly larvae and are great for erosion control. For best results, plant this fern in a garden in masses, or add to shade beds for year round color and contrasts with other perennials.
