Daylily - Modern Design
Daylily - Modern Design Hemerocallis Modern Design, Hemerocallis 'Modern Design', is an excellent and vigorous plant that produces 4 wide blooms. The flowers are light apricot with a pronounced plum burgundy eye and a matching picotee edge. ‘Modern Design’ is a very good bloomer during the summer, and then reliably follows up with another surge of reblooms later in the season! One of the Designer Daylily™ Collection, it has lightly ruffled petals that are gently recurved. Heat and humidity tolerant, Modern Design is considered a premium daylily because it shows outstanding bloom performance, produces vibrant flowers, and has winter hardiness in northern zones. Individual flowers last only one day, but since each plant produces many buds, the total blooming time of a well-established clump may last more than a month. Divide every 3-5 years, or when the number of flower buds and the size of bloom begin to decline. Use ‘Modern Design’ daylily for color in shrub borders and in perennial beds. Once established, the daylily can be an excellent groundcover on slopes because it has roots that hold soil against erosion; attracts butterflies. ‘Modern Design’ makes a beautiful floral arrangement! * Vigorous grower * Large blooms * Rebloomer

The profusion of flowers rises just above the well-maintained foliage. 'Starlite Prairieblues™' looks great even when not in bloom! It is a good, vigorous grower, extremely long lived, and destined to become a favorite in the garden. The Baptisia looks attractive by itself, against walls and fences, or combined in a border with other June bloomers. Full sun is best for the most successful flowering and performance. It grows well in average to dry soil but adapts to most conditions. The remarkable charcoal black seedpods add a nice touch to dried floral arrangements! | Dropmore Scarlet Honeysuckle Vine - Sale Price: $57.05 Hummingbirds are attracted to red flowers and sweet nectar, both abundant features of the hybrid Dropmore Scarlet Honeysuckle. It couldn’t be easier to grow: it will withstand cold winters, put up with drought and doesn’t need anything but a half-day of full sun and some moist, fertile soil to perform at its best. It’s a rugged semi-evergreen climber that’s virtually indestructible, even with haphazard pruning. Each year, from June to September, you can look forward to lightly fragrant masses of scarlet-orange tubular flowers that give way to small red berries in the fall (which the birds just love). Because it’s a vining variety, be sure to give it a sturdy support to climb on soon after it’s planted. Zones 4-8. |
| Coneflower - Ruby Giant - Sale Price: $49.95 Coneflower Ruby Giant, Echinacea purpurea 'Ruby Giant', boasts absolutely huge 7 flowers with petals that remain flat and do not droop like other common Echinacea. Combined with its sweet fragrance and rich rose-red color, the butterflies and hummingbirds love ‘Rudy Giant’. The colorful blooms tower high above lush mounds of dark green foliage! When done flowering, the huge cones look wonderful in dried flower arrangements. The dead flower stems will remain erect well into the winter and, if flower heads are not removed, are often visited by goldfinches and other birds to feed on the seed. For best results, plant 'Ruby Giant' in full sun in a well drained area. Echinacea is known for its large flower heads that turn to seed in the fall. It is a great choice for cut flowers, and it adds a wilderness look to your garden. Not only is it a prized perennial for many gardeners, but it is also said to be a potent medicine. Echinacea is said to increase immune function, reduce the effects of colds and flu, and fight off viral, bacterial and fungal infections. With its long summer to fall bloom period, ‘Ruby Giant’ will make a bold and bright addition to any sunny garden! * Mounded * Fragrant * Long blooming |

Dicentra 'Candy Hearts' remain compact and attractive all season long! The delicate fragrance is an added bonus for the senses! With its elegant long stems and famous heart-shaped flowers, Dicentra is perfect for a border or patio container, and will thrive in a partially shaded spot.
