Hydrangea - Vanilla Strawberryâ„¢ - Sale Price: $99.95 The Hydrangea Vanilla Strawberry, Hydrangea paniculata 'Renhy' is a fantastic addition to any landscape. The huge flowers emerge white but soon change to pink, than to a deep strawberry color. A close relative of the PeeGee Hydrangea, the Vanilla Strawberry has has an upright habit that becomes slightly cascading as the summer progresses. Tending to be a bit leggy and with a two foot clearance from the ground, Phantom hydrangea will grow to be about 10 feet tall at maturity, with a spread of 10 feet; suitable for planting under power lines. The evergreen leaves are a deep lustrous green and glisten in sunlight. It is excellent for foundation, hedges, masses, and as an accent plant. It is best to follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Feed with a general purpose fertilizer before new growth begins in spring.
