Grass - Northern Sea Oats - Sale Price: $45.65 The Grass 'Northern Sea Oats', Chasmanthium latifolium, is upright and arching. It may also be known as Wild oats or Spangle grass. It is treasured for its showy, dropping flowers and slender, bamboo-like foliage that changes from green, to copper, to rich brown. During the summer season the flowerheads shimmer and dance in the wind. Very attractive! Sea Oats is easy to grow in full sun or in the shade. The soil needs to be well-drained. The dramatic, lacy leaves are adorned with heavily marked dark centers and have a shiny appearance that almost appears to be lacquered. In spring, a profusion of lightly fragrant bottlebrush flowers are displayed for a very long time. The flowers of Tiarella 'Sugar & Spice' are white with a unique pink frosting.
