Clematis - Vyvyan Pennell - Sale Price: $42.75 Clematis Vyvyan Pennell Clematis 'Vyvyan Pennell', bears huge 8 double flowers in the spring and reblooms in August with single light violet flowers; one of the best double flowered clematis variety. The impressive flowers are violet-blue with reddish overtones and have contrasting gold stamens.  It was awarded Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. This is a good strong grower, compact and sturdy, and produces lots of large, luxuriant flowers on strong stiff stalks! Clematis 'Vyvyan Pennell' needs a supporting structure to grow properly and it is easy to grow with a rich, porous, alkaline soil that has plenty of room for the roots to spread.
