The dramatic 24 inch long flower stems resemble huge lupine flowers and make great cut flowers.  In late spring, the deep violet-lavender buds of 'Starlite Prairieblues™' PPAF unfurl into lovely periwinkle-blue blooms with contrasting butter-cream keels. The profusion of flowers rises just above the well-maintained foliage.  'Starlite Prairieblues™' looks great even when not in bloom! Coreopsis - Limerock Ruby - Sale Price: $49.95 The Coreopsis ‘Limerock Ruby’ has beautiful rosy red, glossy flowers that cover the finely cut foliage. The dark green thread-like foliage makes a great contrast with its flower color, blooming from June through October. ‘Limerock Ruby’ is extremely drought tolerant with a plant height of 12” and a spread of 23-27”.  With cool autumn weather, the flowers make an even more outstanding color scheme. ‘Limerock Ruby’ should be planted in full sun, and even though it is drought-tolerant and tough, it does need well-drained soil.  It should be cut back early and late summer to extend the bloom period. Oxalis - Strawberry - Sale Price: $39.95 Oxalis Strawberry, Oxalis crassipes 'Rosea', is a popular shade plant (often called a shamrock) that just doesn't know when to quit blooming! Although it's a perennial, this plant blooms like an annual from late spring to early fall if kept moist.  Vivid green, clover-like leaves are dotted with bright pink flowers that butterflies adore and are nice in fresh bouquets. Oxalis 'Strawberry' forms a low mound that is the perfect size for edging or containers.  Like many oxalis, the leaves of this variety close up at night or when light levels are very low. It does not set viable seed, so there's no need to fear that it will become a nuisance in the garden.  This variety has been used in southern gardens for many years.  Oxalis plants are used in borders, beds, rock gardens and containers.
