Juniper - Mint Julep
Juniper - Mint Julep, Juniper - Mint Julep, is an outstanding, evergreen shrub with dense, upright branches clothed in sharply pointed, bright green needles. It is grown mostly for its brilliant mint-green foliage. Mint Julep is a constant performer in all climates and works well as a ground cover, hedge, screen or windbreak and requires little maintenance. It also makes a great facer plant for taller flowering shrubs. It has arching branches; fountain-like form; grows 4 to 6 feet high, and has a greater spread. Mint Julep prefers full sun, moist, well-drained soil and is drought tolerant. This appealing juniper is a very tough plant!

Dogwood - Prairie Fire, Cornus alba 'Prairie Fire', is an attractive multi-stemmed deciduous shrub with reddish foliage that emerges gold in spring, and turns a soft yellow in summer. The pointy leaves add an interesting texture to this shrub and puts on an outstanding red show in the fall. In late spring clusters of creamy white flowers appear at the ends of the branches. ‘Prairie Fire’ produces white berries in midsummer. This dogwood adds color in the winter with its tomato-orange branches that are extremely showy and brightens up a drab landscape! This is a relatively low maintenance shrub, and it can be pruned at anytime; use as a hedge, accent, or in mass plantings. Since ‘Prairie Fire’ tends to fill out right to the ground, it doesn't necessarily require facer plants in front.

Spirea - Dakota Goldcharm® - DetailsSpirea - Dakota Goldcharm® - Sale Price: $51.35
Dakota Goldcharm® Spirea, spiraea japonica 'Mertyann', has showy golden foliage that is accented by bright pink flowers blooming in early summer, repeating through the remainder of the season. The foliage emerges bronze, turns yellow-gold in summer and develops a pink-red fall color. Dakota Goldcharm Spirea is more or less a miniature version of Goldflame or Goldmound Spirea, with foliage that starts a deep red, fading to a yellowish green by late spring. This certainly is a plant to locate at the front of a planting bed, otherwise it will be lost among the taller perennials and shrubs. ‘Mertyann’ prefers loamy soil with full to partial sun.  This mounded shrub grows 15-18 inches tall with 2-3 foot spread. Since it is so small, it can also be used as a ground cover. Spireas are among the easiest flowering shrubs to grow since they are tolerant of many soils except extremely wet.  This plant also likes mulch and summer watering. * Colorful foliage * Ground cover * Low maintenance
