'Fastigiata', has an upright habit and oval, glossy-green leaves which makes this shrub an excellent choice for a narrow hedge or exclamation point in the small garden; height may be controlled by prunining. It is best grown in average, medium moisture, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Prefers moist, sandy loams. Boxwood fills in the gap in ornamentals with its many easily sculpted forms.
