Forsythia - Show Off - Sale Price: $29.95 The Forsythia, Show Off, Forsythia 'mindia', is a new forsythia with large, bright yellow flowers that cover the plant from head to foot. The attractive dark green foliage, unlike any other forsythia, displays season long interest. The Show Off is a dwarf plant with bright yellow flowers produced in the spring. This forsythia will be 2-3' tall with about a 6' spread. The summer blooming flowers are yellow-white and produce dark red berries in fall. It has an attractive mounding form. Easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade, but Emerald Mound prefers moist, loamy soils but this plant will adapt to many soil types. Canada Red Select Cherry - Sale Price: $79.95 Canada Red Select Cherry, Prunus virginiana 'Shubert Select', is a beautiful shrub or small tree with maroon-red foliage.  The new growth is green, maturing to maroon-red. The small, white flowers in spring produce small, red fruits in summer that are savored by birds.  This fruit is an edible chokecherry! Canada Red has a vigorous growth, straight trunk and uniform top.  Its foliage is a darker red, with a thicker leaf texture than regular Canada Red.  Proper soil conditions are necessary for normal growth with this variety.  Pay special attention to insure good drainage and aeration. Best used in borders, screens and masses. Holly - Carissa - Sale Price: $64.25 The Holly 'Carissa', Ilex cornuta 'Carissa', is an outstanding dwarf and a dense grower. The leaves are dark glossy green with one spine at the tip. It is well suited for planting along a foundation, and it is excellent for use as a low hedge or in mass plantings. This 'Carissa' does not produce berries. 'Carissa' grows best in rich, well-drained, slightly acid soil, and does well in full sun or part shade. The plant is very drought tolerant, requiring little, if any, irrigation once established in the landscape. Fertilize once or twice to maintain good leaf color and adequate growth. This plant is often used on commercial landscape jobs where it is planted in mass in traffic islands, or planted in beds. If this plant is used as a hedge, prune the plant so it is wider at the bottom than at the top. This allows for light to get in to the bottom foliage and this will help keep the leaves from thinning. The Carissa prefers a pH of 5.0 to 6.5. Zones 6-9.
