Clematis - Bourbon - Sale Price: $42.75 Clematis Bourbon, Clematis 'Bourbon™', is a new and exciting compact clematis from Raymond J. Evison.  Evison specifically hybridized this prized variety for patio containers! Its compact growth reaches only 3-4 feet tall, which makes it a perfect fit for large patio pots.  'Clematis Bourbon' is equally happy, though, when grown in the ground and allowed to scramble up a small trellis. The large 6 inch flowers are red with bright purple bars in the center of each petal. Flowers rebloom throughout the summer for an incredible display! Clematis 'Bourbon™' needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs, over walls, cover stumps, and make perfect cover ups for unsightly service areas. Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread.
