Blueberry - Patriot - Sale Price: $42.75 Good cold hardiness and consistent crops of Patriot’s gigantic fruit make this tops on the blueberry plant list. Expect 10-20 pounds of luscious berries from just one bush! ‘Patriot’ has huge (quarter-size), tart, dusky fruit bursting with true blueberry flavor, coming earlier than some other varieties, in late July. It is a highbush blueberry cultivar which typically grows at least 4’ tall or more, a perfect choice for a living fence. ‘Patriot’ will give you lovely, bell-shaped, white flowers in May; delicious, exceptionally nutritious fruit in July and a show of bright orange color in fall. If you have a low, wet (but well-drained) area in sun to part shade, just acidify the soil, plant it, mulch it, and it will thrive.
