Lilac - Common White - Sale Price: $37.95 The Common White Lilac, Syringa Vulgaris, is well-known and loved by gardeners all over the world for its beauty and fragrance. This fragrance is one of the most powerful fragrances emitted by a plant. This deciduous shrub is used as a hedge or as an individual accent plant. Barberry - Concorde - Sale Price: $32.95 Commonly known as Japanese Barberry, this compact little shrub’s burgundy-colored foliage is a dramatic —and welcome— contrast in a landscape dominated by green everything-else. ‘Concorde’ has very small teardrop-shaped leaves on thorny branches which form an orderly round plant that tops out at not much more than a couple of feet. Use ‘Concorde’ as a foundation planting or berm or border edging, and in any number of other small, sunny spaces where you need a plant of a different color. Full sun keeps the leaves their pretty royal purple color, which will gently turn deep red in the fall, and through the winter you’ll be treated to lovely red berries. Lilac - Marie Francis - Sale Price: $51.35 Lilac - Marie Francis, Syringa vulgaris 'Marie Frances', is a real treat because it produces fragrant pink flowers, and with pink lilacs among all the blue-lavender-purple, this is very unusual! The lovely flowers emerge from distinctive, rich pink buds in spring on a compact form. It has bluish-green foliage throughout the season and is a very hardy plant that tends to sucker. The heart-shaped leaves do not develop any appreciable fall color. ‘Marie Francis’ needs full sun and well-drained soil, and it also requires room for air movement; will tolerate poor soil conditions and harsh winters. The ‘Marie Francis’ shrub must have regular care and upkeep, and should only be pruned after flowering to avoid removing any of the current season's flowers. It is a good choice for attracting butterflies to your yard, and is an attractive plant for shrub borders, a garden accent plant, or planted in mass for a flowering hedge or wind screen; excellent for cutting too!
