In the spring the buds begin as an almost crimson red, turn a light pink, and as they open they fade to pure white. When in full bloom, Donald Wyman crabapple puts on a fairy tale-like show with its profusion of lovely white flowers, displaying a “snowstorm” effect as the petals drop to the ground!
