Blue orchard mason bees are becoming an increasingly popular pollinator for backyard gardens and commercial orchards. These insects are wonderful pollinators of apple, cherry, pear, nectarine, and Asian pear, and they gather pollen from anything in bloom between March through early June. These traditional guard tubes with inserts are easily used by spring mason bees. Pulling out the insert and opening them is easily done during fall harvest. The guard tubes are 5/6†wide which is optimal for spring mason bees and 6†long to fit within most mason bee cans or homes. Contains 40 tubes and inserts, plus instructions to ensure success in housing mason bees. (Mason bees sold separately.)
