A shrubby groundcover, 'Procumbens' is excellent for rock gardens, bonsai, or as a patio plant. Native to southern Japan, 'Procumbens' is a Juniper that is best known for its ability to create bonsai plants and small topiary sculptures. It is equally well-known for being a very resilient plant. Adapting to a wide range of soils, it prefers a dryish, sandy soil; root rot may occur, particularly in wet, poorly drained soils.
