Ajuga - Burgundy Glow - Sale Price: $42.75 The Ajuga ‘Burgundy Glow’, Ajuga reptans, is a useful ground cover with short spikes of blue flowers. This Ajuga is one of the most popular, forming striking mounds of leaves dappled in green, pink and cream. During the wintertime, Ajuga ‘Burgundy Glow’ develops rich bronze and burgundy tones. The flowers appear in late spring on 6” spikes with a plant spread of 12-18”. ‘Burgundy Glow’ should be planted 6-9” apart for a beautiful ground cover. Ajuga ‘Burgundy Glow’ will do best in a shaded area but will adapt to morning sun. (The foliage colors will be more vivid with morning sun.) It prefers moist soil with a good drainage but will tolerate moderately dry areas. Do avoid soggy conditions. The dramatic, lacy leaves are adorned with heavily marked dark centers and have a shiny appearance that almost appears to be lacquered. In spring, a profusion of lightly fragrant bottlebrush flowers are displayed for a very long time. The flowers of Tiarella 'Sugar & Spice' are white with a unique pink frosting. 'Sugar and Spice' will do best in full shade and needs average to moist soil. With its perfectly clean, compact, dark green, disease resistant and rust free foliage, this plant has a height: 12” and a plant spread of 24”. ‘Woods Purple’ has emerged in the past few years with superb flowers and longer bloom times. Aster ‘Woods Purple’ does require full sun, but can take some afternoon shade, in a moderate soil range with good drainage that does not become extremely dry during the summer.
