The flowers of ‘Bonanza’ are mauve-blue with pale yellow anthers and are 3 in size.  Do not underestimate the flower power of this variety because of the smaller flower size! Bred for excellent disease resistance, this clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread. Astilbe - Fanal - Sale Price: $49.95 The Astilbe ‘Fanal’, Astilbe arendsii, is a colorful feathery flower with deep red blooms and lacy deep green or bronze-green foliage. The foliage in spring is mahogany, but as autumn approaches, the blooms turn to shades of brown that look wonderful in winter snowscapes. The flowers contrast wonderfully with the dark green glossy foliage.  Astilbe ‘Fanal’ blooms in midsummer and is 24” tall and a plant width of 18-24”.  Do not allow Astilbe ‘Fanal’ to dry out. 'Fanal' is most successfully grown in a shady area but can tolerate some morning sun.  A moist, well-drained area is a key factor for growing a healthy plant. In order to keep Astilbe looking good for the next year, do not cut it back in the winter, (the old foliage helps protect the plant from winter damage), but prune in early spring. Astilbe is considered to be deer resistant and will attract hummingbirds.  Use ‘Fanal’ Astilbe as beautiful cut flowers for a grand bouquet!   Plant it in perennial borders or shade gardens with hosta’s and ferns. Bleeding Heart - Specatabilis - Sale Price: $64.25 The Bleeding Heart Specatabilis, 'Dicentra ‘specatabilis’, is a fast-growing perennial with pink, heart-shaped flowers. It is the most common variety in its species. The blooms look wonderful against its grayish foliage.  Dicentra ‘specatabilis’ has a plant height of 30” and a width of 20”. This Dicentra should be planted in full sun but will tolerate morning shade.  It is heat tolerant and needs moist soil.  Do not let it dry out. This Bleeding Heart will bloom from May to September and is a major attractor to butterflies. The foliage does go dormant, so it is best to plant this bleeding heart among later developing perennials such as hostas and ferns which will fill in as the bleeding heart foliage begins to die back. ‘Specatabilis’ makes excellent cut flowers, in mass with groundcovers, or in potted containers. Lungwort - Cevennensis - Sale Price: $56.95 Lungwort Cevennensis, Pulmonaria longifolia 'Cevennensis', is a clump forming lungwort that is valued by gardeners for its attractive foliage. It features very long and narrow silvery spotted leaves. In the spring, drooping clusters of funnel-shaped, dark violet-blue flowers appear. Lungwort Cevennensis is easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in part shade to full shade, but it prefers cool soils that are moist and humusy. This lungwort is very tolerant of wet, poorly drained soils, so it must have constant moisture and not be allowed to dry out; leaves can depreciate considerably in extremely hot weather or too much sun. Keeping the plant moist will maintain an attractive foliage after bloom and throughout the summer. Lungwort Cevennensis spreads very slowly by creeping roots, and it is best to divide the plants in the fall. Deer resistant.
