Daylily - Sombrero Way - Sale Price: $49.95 The Daylily Sombrero Way, Hemerocallis 'Sombrero Way', is fast becoming one of the most popular daylilies for gardeners!  It produces large clumps of long grass-like leaves with showy clusters of ruffled, rich orange lily-like blooms on tall stems. It is hard to find a good quality daylily with a nice, solid orange color, but that's what ‘Sombrero Way’ provides!  This mid-summer bloomer is ideal for the middle to back of a border plant because it will grow 2’ tall and as wide. The grass-like foliage is attractive all season long, and it will be back again every year with only minimal winter protection. Try 'Sombrero Way' in mixed beds and borders, containers and large mass plantings.  Plant as a ground cover on slopes, where they form a dense mat in just a few years.; attracts butterflies. This daylily is best cleaned up in early spring before it resumes active growth for the season. Hibiscus - Blue River II - Sale Price: $42.75 The Hibiscus 'Blue River II', Hibiscus moscheutos, is the first true, original, large, pure white flowering Hibiscus and should not be missed! It has a plant height of 4-5' and wonderful 10 dinner plate-sized, 5-petaled, hollyhock-like flowers blooms.  Individual flowers are very short-lived (usually one day), but one or more flowers usually open each day, and this continues in succession from midsummer to early fall! The light green leaves make a wonderful contrast.  'Blue River II' is easily grown in average, medium to wet soils in full sun. It does best in moist, organically rich soils, but does surprisingly well in average garden soils; do not allowed to dry out.  Plant 'Blue River II' in locations protected from wind to minimize risk of wind burn. If you deadhead individual flowers this will maintain a neat and colorful plant appearance. New growth shoots are slow to emerge in spring, however, once new growth begins, it proceeds quite rapidly; provide regular fertilization during this growing season. The Halcyon Hosta is made for the shade and is the most interesting frosty ocean-blue color, earning it the 1997 Award of Merit (AGM).
