Astilbe - Color Flash - Sale Price: $42.75 Astilbe Color Flash (False Spirea), Astilbe x arendsii 'Color Flash', has a stunning new contrast of foliage colors! The deeply cut ferny leaves start off bright lime green, and then mature to a rich burgundy purple to a bronze color.  All foliage colors are present on each plant since the leaves come out in different stages!   ‘Color Flash’ displays striking pink plumes that grow upright to about 10 inches above the plant. Dianthus - Fire Star - Sale Price: $39.95 The Dianthus Fire Star, Dianthus 'Fire Star' (PPAF), has vibrant red flowers with a dark red eye.  The flowers provide a striking contrast as they appear on evergreen, glaucous grey-green foliage; the foliage gives off a spicy scent of cloves!   The red flowers with a deeper crimson eye appear on stems rising slightly above the foliage mound to 8” tall; flowers bloom 3-5 per stem.  Flowering may continue sporadically throughout the summer. This new threadleaf coreopsis bears big, bold yellow flowers with a rich ring of burgundy around the crown that bleeds out to the tips of each petal. The narrow, deep-green foliage forms vigorous, uniform clumps. It is easily grown in dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun. 'Route 66' performs well in poor, sandy or rocky soils with good drainage; tolerant of heat, humidity and drought. Clematis - Cardinal Wyszynski - Sale Price: $42.75 Clematis Cardinal Wyszynski, Clematis 'Cardinal Wyszynski', will dazzle your garden with huge 8 glowing crimson flowers! The vibrant flowers are accented with darker crimson anthers and light pink filaments.  Very free flowering,  the clematis 'Cardinal Wyszynski' received the Golden Medal at 'Plantarium' in 1990. (Named after Cardinal Wyszynski who never got to become pope; cardinals are known for their bright red garb.) Clematis Cardinal Wyszynski needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs, over walls, cover stumps, and make perfect cover ups for unsightly service areas. Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. Groom this plant after first flowering by cutting back the top one-third to one-half of some stems.
