American Bittersweet
The American Bittersweet, ‘Celastrus scandens’, is a most adaptable vine, with orange and red berries that retain color when cut and dried in fall. This plant needs both male and female plant to produce the beautiful fruit, only the female plants will produce fruit. Plants are unsexed. The small greenish-white flowers are produced in June in short clusters. During the fall season bittersweet vines put on a display few other plants can rival, with fruit that is a round, orange-yellow capsule which opens, disclosing the scarlet-colored seed pod. The foliage turns a beautiful bright yellow. It likes partial to full sun, but does best fruit in full sun, and prefers clean soils with regular moisture. Zones 2 - 8. * Fall Color * Wildlife Plant * Red Berries

Foxglove - Candy Mountain - DetailsFoxglove - Candy Mountain - Sale Price: $39.95
Foxglove Candy Mountain, Digitalis 'Candy Mountain', is the first foxglove ever to have upward-facing flowers instead of the usual downward-facing ones! This unique feature allows you to view the beautifully speckled flower throats from above instead of having to get down on your knees to see their true beauty. In early summer, the rose pink flowers completely surround the strong flower spikes and make a dramatic look for the back of the border.  This plant is a biennial. Digitalis should be planted in full sun but will tolerate morning shade.  It blooms early to mid summer, in most climates, partial shade is best, though it will grow in full sun in northern regions. Try planting 'Candy Mountain' in woodland gardens, as a border plant or for cut-flowers.  Remember to leave some dead flower stalks to self sow for future flowers! Being a major attraction to bees, butterflies and birds, 'Candy Mountain' is a must in any garden. (All parts of Digitals are poisonous if ingested and can be invasive). This dazzling foxglove has tall, sturdy, straight stems that do not need staking! * Upward facing flowers * Attracts butterflies and bees * Easy to grow

Daylily - Chicago Orchid - DetailsDaylily - Chicago Orchid - Sale Price: $49.95
The Daylily 'Chicago Orchid', Hemerocallis 'Chicago Orchid', is a favorite summer blooming perennial with large clumps of long grass-like leaves with showy clusters of orchid lily-like flowers on tall stems. A midseason bloomer, this 'Chicago Orchid' plant produces several flower stalks with up to a dozen buds.  The buds open in series, but a flower lasts only a day, giving the plant its common name, Daylily! Daylilies grow vigorously, help suppress weeds, and are generally free from pests and disease.  They thrive in full sun or light shade and tolerate many types of soil.  In areas that receive less than 6 hours of sun during the day, your daylilies will probably produce fewer and smaller blooms, and the foliage may not be as robust. Divide every 3-5 years, or when the number of flower buds and the size of bloom begin to decline.   Planted together in large numbers, they quickly crowd out weeds and make a carefree and colorful ground cover.   Because it blooms all summer, has gorgeous color, and an attractive, clumping foliage, ‘Chicago Orchid’ is a pleasure to have in any garden! * Showy clusters of flowers * Clumping habit * Favorite

Clematis - Fireworks - DetailsClematis - Fireworks - Sale Price: $42.75
Clematis Fireworks, Clematis 'Fireworks', explodes into color with beautiful 8 bluish purple flowers with glowing cerise central bars. The petals have a slight twist to them and are slightly recurved at the tips. This clematis will rebloom again in late summer with smaller 6 flowers. An outstanding variety with a vigorous growth habit, this clematis is best grown in a protected area to prevent wind damage to the very large flowers.   ‘Fireworks’ was Awarded Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Merit. Clematis 'Fireworks' needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs, over walls, cover stumps, and make perfect cover ups for unsightly service areas. Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. Groom this plant after first flowering by cutting back the top one-third to one-half of some stems. Clematis ‘Fireworks’ is a very reliable performer once established; it takes a season or two to get going! * Reliable * Vibrant color * Vigorous

Coreopsis - Sunny Day - DetailsCoreopsis - Sunny Day - Sale Price: $49.95
Coreopsis - Sunny Day, Coreopsis grandiflora 'Sunny Day', begins to bloom in late spring and continues to bloom throughout the summer.  This North American native provides an abundance of large, single yellow flowers on compact plants! This coreopsis is not picky about its soil, as long as it’s well-drained.  Keep deadheaded for best flowering.  As with many perennials this plant will benefit from being divided and reset in the fall every one to two years.   Shear back plants after the first wave of flowering to promote reblooming.  Remove old foliage after frost or before new growth in spring. ‘Sunny Day’ is a splendid plant for cheery cut flower arrangements, beds, borders, and containers. Since it thrives in poor soil and has low water needs, ‘Sunny Day’ will easily add beauty and sunshine to any trouble spot in your garden! * Easy to grow * Long blooming * Brilliant color

Astilbe - Delft Lace - DetailsAstilbe - Delft Lace - Sale Price: $59.95
Astilbe Delft Lace, Astilbe 'Delft Lace' PPAF, will brighten up your landscape with its beautiful lacy foliage. The waxy foliage is a deep blue-green with a light silver overlay that gives it a unique look, and added excitement, as a seasonal garden player. This new variety is reported to have more attractive foliage and stronger flower stems than 'Peach Blossom'.   Its bright-red stems rise above blue-green leaves, holding plumes of apricot-pink flowers trimmed with deep salmon pink buds. Astilbes are long-lived perennials that are most comfortable when grown in rich soil and light shade to filtered sun.  They will grow in full shade, but will not bloom as prolifically there. Though they are easy to grow, Astilbes have one critical requirement--lots of water.  Plants must have consistently moist soil; dryness leads to a quick demise, especially in the sun. Fertilize Astilbes in late spring before flowering starts.  Wait to cut back the old foliage until spring; it will help protect the plant from winter damage. If the flowers are picked when half open, the blooms are useful for cutting and make gorgeous bouquets. The more sun this rugged and beautiful plant gets, the darker the foliage!  Plant ‘Delft Lace’ where everyone can enjoy its brilliant colors! * Unique waxy foliage * Easy to Grow * Bright red stems
