Barberry - Marshall's Upright, Berberis thunbergii var. atropurpurea 'Marshall's Upright', is a wonderful barberry that is smooth textured and offers brilliant colors with bright burgundy foliage and striking red berries. It produces small yellow flowers in hanging clusters in mid-spring and bright red berries in clusters in autumn. These berries may persist into winter. ‘Marshall's Upright’ has a dense, upright, habit that makes it a magnificent choice for compact, thorny hedges; makes an excellent barrier plant. It requires full sun to partial shade and tolerates a wide range of soils, except those that are overly wet. Light pruning may be needed to maintain good shape. The pruning may be done at any time. Use in borders, as a barrier, a hedge, or as a specimen. * Great color accent* Purple foliage

Katherine Havemeyer Lilac, Syringa vulgaris 'Katherine Havemeyer', is an early blooming French Hybrid that produces abundant clusters of double, lavender-pink, fragrant flowers among dark green, disease resistant foliage.
