Hydrangea - Late Panicle - Sale Price: $49.95 The Hydrangea 'Late Panicle', Hydrangea paniculata 'Tardiva', this shrub has white airy flowers that can reach 10-12 in length in late August. The flowers are a mixture of sterile and fertile flowers which gives the flowers less density and less likelihood to tip or droop. Flowers will turn bronze in fall. The flower heads will stay on the plant during much of the winter if conditions are not severe.  These shrubs are fast growing and are great for informal     screens, specimen plants, or for cut arrangements. Barberry - Concorde - Sale Price: $32.95 Commonly known as Japanese Barberry, this compact little shrub’s burgundy-colored foliage is a dramatic —and welcome— contrast in a landscape dominated by green everything-else. ‘Concorde’ has very small teardrop-shaped leaves on thorny branches which form an orderly round plant that tops out at not much more than a couple of feet. Use ‘Concorde’ as a foundation planting or berm or border edging, and in any number of other small, sunny spaces where you need a plant of a different color. Full sun keeps the leaves their pretty royal purple color, which will gently turn deep red in the fall, and through the winter you’ll be treated to lovely red berries. A slightly acidic soil will benefit this slow-growing, pest-free shrub (which is also hypo-allergenic and resistant to deer, drought and disease). To tilt the pH, just tap a few nails into the soil under the shrub canopy. Pruning is only required to change its shape or overall size. Zones 4-8. It tends toward a round shape, is a robust grower and will withstand wind and cold winters well. The foliage is more of a medium grass-green than dark green, and turns to an attractive yellow-bronze color in the fall. The Double Flowering Plum can take a lot of abuse in terms of soil condition, but it does need good sun, good drainage and ample room to perform at its best. It can also be pruned and trained into a tree form. The Double Flowering plum does not produce fruit and it does not tolerate road salt. Zones 3-8 Gorgeous Flowers!
