Hibiscus - Kopper King - USPP 10,793 - Sale Price: $49.95 The Hibiscus ‘Kopper King’, is the most popular variety of the Fleming Hibiscus.  Named by James Fleming himself, it has a plant height of 4’ and beautiful dinner-plate size 12” flowers! The flowers are white with red centers that fade to pink as they streak through the veination to the petal’s edge. The foliage took over 20 years to develop and refine and one can see why. Unlike most hibiscuses, ‘Kopper King’ has maple-cut, copper-red shaded leaves, with some leaves having copper on both sides. It is best to plant this Hibiscus in a full sun area, and it will tolerate most soil types.  ‘Kopper King’ looks wonderful with grasses, as a background plant or with Hibiscus ‘Old Yella’. It grows well in any fertile, well-drained soil with ample moisture. Do not allow to dry to the wilting point.  Be patient; hibiscus can be slow to emerge in spring; provide regular fertilization during this growing season.  For best performance, plant before the heat of the summer. ‘Kopper King’ is suitable for very large containers, but pots must be protected over winter.  Although the hibiscus grows tall, the need for staking is rare.  These plants will die back to ground level during the winter months.  Be careful to not over water until plants show signs of growth! Astilbe - Maggie Daley - Sale Price: $39.95 Astilbe Maggie Daley, Astilbe chinensis 'Maggie Daley', displays a profusion of showy spikes of lavender-purple panicles in mid to late summer. The fuzzy flowers are full and packed closely together.  They resemble a bouquet as they sit on top of shiny, bronze-green foliage.   'Maggie Daley' blooms later than other astilbes and grows best in rich soil that is consistently moist. Astilbes are long-lived perennials that are most comfortable when grown in rich soil and light shade to filtered sun.  They will grow in full shade, but will not bloom as prolifically. ‘Maggie Daley’ is a robust and somewhat drought resistant plant that is similar to Astilbe 'Visions'. Though they are easy to grow, Astilbes have one critical requirement--lots of water.  The plants must have consistently moist soil; dryness leads to a quick demise, especially in the sun. Hosta - Yankee Blue - Sale Price: $39.95 The Hosta Yankee Blue, Hosta 'Yankee Blue', is a vigorous, fast growing blue colored hosta that will command attention in any garden or landscape! ‘Yankee Blue’ has elongated wedge-shaped leaves with wavy margins that hold their blue color all summer, then later in the season, the color changes to blue-green.
