Canada Red Select Cherry
Canada Red Select Cherry, Prunus virginiana 'Shubert Select', is a beautiful shrub or small tree with maroon-red foliage.  The new growth is green, maturing to maroon-red. The small, white flowers in spring produce small, red fruits in summer that are savored by birds.  This fruit is an edible chokecherry! Canada Red has a vigorous growth, straight trunk and uniform top.  Its foliage is a darker red, with a thicker leaf texture than regular Canada Red.  Proper soil conditions are necessary for normal growth with this variety.  Pay special attention to insure good drainage and aeration. Best used in borders, screens and masses. Prefers full sun and tolerates clay and high pH.  It grows 20-25 feet tall and 18-20 feet wide and is great as an accent tree for color in the garden; attracts birds and butterflies! * Attractive red foliage * Small tree * Edible chokecherries

Rhododendron - Haaga - DetailsRhododendron - Haaga - Sale Price: $51.35
The Rhododendron Haaga, 'Haaga Rhododendron', is a new, hardy, dwarf variety from the University of Helsinki, Finland. It produces dark pink flowers which contrast nicely with the dark green, coarse foliage. The Haaga will begin to bloom in May. This plant needs excellent drainage, mulching and a peat moss soil additive. Roots will rot in poorly drained soil. It will not do well in windy sites. This shrub is fussy about its soil conditions. The soil needs to be rich and acidic. It is a good practice to apply thick mulch around the root zone in colder climates. Any pruning should be done after flowering in order to avoid removing any of the current season’s flowers! The Haaga is a dense evergreen shrub and it is a highly valued landscape ornamental. The large groups of showy pink flowers appear on even young plants. The Haaga is a very effective accent plant. Dwarf Rhododendron!

Lilac - Common White - DetailsLilac - Common White - Sale Price: $37.95

This species of lilac, the white lilac, produces suckers - new shoots that sprout from the base of the shrub, or from the roots. In North American gardens, this is a very hardy shrub. Lilacs can withstand severely cold winters (even -35 degrees C) and in fact the species does not grow well in areas without significant frost in wintertime. Although it’s been recreated for perfumes and candles, nothing compares to the scent of fresh Lilac. The fragrance is captivating; literally spring will be in the air for weeks, if not months.
