Clematis Sugar Candy, Clematis 'Sugar Candy', provides beautiful, rich colors to your landscape as it climbs on posts or fences, clambers through shrubs and trees, or scales a lovely trellis. This clematis creates beautiful colors, extravagance of blooms that are 6-7”, and a graceful habit!  The pinkish mauve pointed petals have a darker center bar and contrasting yellow anthers with pinkish grey filaments. ‘Sugar Candy’ is free flowering in late spring through early summer and again in late summer. Clematis can be grown in full sun or light shade, but its base and roots must be completely shaded. Prune lightly above the new leaf buds in early spring and remove any dead or weak stems. This clematis is easy to grow with a rich, porous, alkaline soil that has plenty of room for the roots to spread Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. Clematis Patricia Ann Fretwell, Clematis 'Patricia Ann Fretwell™', is the first double flowering red and pink clematis! The Peony 'Sarah Bernhardt', 'Paeonia', a fall planted bulb, is one of the most popular Double Peonies.
