Clematis - Niobe - Sale Price: $44.95 The Clematis ‘Niobe’, Jackmanii x group, has dark red petals with gold anthers that blooms in June to July and range in height of 6-10’ and has a spread of 3’. The red flowers are approximately 6-8” wide.  Clematis ‘Niobe’ received the Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society and one can see why! The prominent dark red flowers of this clematis are outstanding and bloom heavily from late spring to late summer. The foliage is dark green and makes a great contrast with the flower color. Clematis prefers full sun but will tolerate shade in the morning in a well-drained area.  It is best to avoid heavy pruning on this perennial until it is fully established.   Clematis ‘Niobe’ needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs.  The tops of Clematis prefer full sun while their roots prefer a cool, shady area. It is best to heavily mulch the root zone to provide this cool, shady area. Veronica - Georgia Blue - Sale Price: $56.95 The Veronica Speedwell, Georgia Blue, 'Veronica peduncularis 'Georgia Blue', is a spreading plant growing to 8 inches tall with spires of tiny, round, blue flowers in late April-May. This evergreen perennial blooms very early in the spring. It may rebloom throughout the summer. The foliage is reddish-green in spring turning to deep green in summer and finally turning bronze in fall. This spreading plant works well under small perennials and in borders, containers, rock gardens and as a groundcover. The flowers are attractive to butterflies and hummingbirds. This plant is also salt tolerant so a seaside location would be fine. To keep tidy plants, shear back by 1/2 after flowering. If not cut back in summer, prune down to basal growth in late autumn. This plant makes a beautiful perennial groundcover! And when planted in mass, they are stunning!

Hosta - Silver Bay - Sale Price: $39.95 Hosta Silver Bay, Hosta 'Silver Bay', is one of the best new blue hostas on the market, and one of the most talked about hostas in recent years!   The heart-shaped, intense, silver blue leaves form an attractive mound.  The leaves are also thick and heavily corrugated.  Pale lavender flowers top the mound in mid-late summer.  'Silver Bay' is a real winner! Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5.  Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots.  It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails.  Plant this low care plant in an area that receives the right amount of light.  The leaves need some morning sun to bring out the best coloration; too much sun will burn the leaves.  'Silver Bay' is most at home in shady, woodland settings and often works well as specimen or edging plant. Grass - Elijah Blue Fescue - Sale Price: $42.75 The Ornamental Grass 'Elijah' Blue', 'Festuca glauca', also know as Blue Fescue, is a wonderful ornamental grass that should not be passed by. With its bluish gray foliage, the plumes appear overwhelming from June to July. 'Elijah Blue' has a plant height of 12 and spread of 12-24. This grass prefers full sun, but will tolerate morning shade. Combined with blue and purple flowers, such as Salvia and Veronica, it adds color and contrast to any perennial garden. For best results, comb through the plant in winter to remove dead foliage. Keep well watered in hot summer months, especially when becoming established.

Sedum - Summer Glory - Sale Price: $39.95 Sedum (Autumn Stonecrop) Summer Glory, Sedum spurium 'Summer Glory', makes an excellent green groundcover, particularly for hot, dry sites with poor soil. This sedum likes sunny to partially shaded areas of the garden. This variety of sedum forms a low carpet of small, rounded green toothed leaves that develop reddish edges during the cool fall months and it spreads easily to form a thick patch. Clusters of bright carmine pink star flowers appear in midsummer to early fall. A fast grower, it is also a good choice for tubs and mixed containers. Trim stems and dead flower heads back in early spring. Summer Glory forms a habit that is somewhat like Fulda Glow and establishes quickly. This sedum is easy to maintain and will thrive in poor soil, but should be well drained.
