Lavender - Hidcote
The Lavender 'Hidcote', Lavandula angustifolia 'Hidcote', is a dwarf variety that is a compact grower and reaches 18-24 inches tall.  It produces fragrant spikes of dark purple flowers in summer.  These flowers produce the purest lavender scent! Being drought tolerant, it is ideal as a short perennial shrub border or as an herb in a kitchen garden.  Lavender was selected in 1999 as the International Herb Association Plant of the Year! This plant is great for hedges and edging because 'Hidcote' has a more erect and compact habit.  It boasts 2½-inch, linear, downy leaves on strong stems.   The leaves open white, then turn a pale gray-blue-green color.  This Lavender grows in a well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil in an open, sunny spot.  For better drainage, add sand in the hole when first planting this lavender. Trim back in spring to encourage bushier growth; also deadhead after flowering. The sweetest scent of all lavender, it is also the most cold hardy, and it should be pruned back the first year. If you want dried flowers,  pick when showing color but before fully open; tie in bunches and hang in a cool, airy place. One of the most famous of all herbs, 'Hidcote' is used most often in sachets in the home  and for perfumes! * Dwarf * Cold hardy * Pale gray, blue-green foliage

Hosta - Golden tiara - DetailsHosta - Golden tiara - Sale Price: $56.95
The Hosta ‘Golden Tiara’ has thin, heart-shaped green leaves with wide chartreuse and white margins foliage, making it very striking.  It is the first small hosta to have gold margined leaves!    Growing quickly and having a lot of blooms, it produces dusky lavender flowers that bloom from July to August and has a plant height of 12” and a spread of 24-36”.  If you like hosta flowers, this charming plant will offer blossoms twice if you cut off the scapes once the first flowers have faded. ‘Golden Tiara’ provides bright color in shade with wonderful foliage.  It needs to be planted in a full shade area in any moist, well-drained area.  This low care perennial is ideal for shady positions, tubs and patio pots, and one of the most popular landscape uses. A great choice for any beginner gardener. It grows best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5.  Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots. Plant ‘Golden Tiara’ in an area that receives the right amount of light.  The leaves need some morning sun to bring the rich golden color out; too much sun will burn the leaves. ‘Golden Tiara’ is most at home in shady, woodland settings and often works well in containers. This ‘Golden Tiara’ shows lots of versatility with its fast clumping habit, good form, and persistent color! * Heart shaped leaves * Small plant * Gold margined leaves

These striking red flowers appear on deep green lacy foliage from mid-summer to early autumn. If you cut or deadhead the blooms promptly, it will rebloom for weeks! Prune Red Velvet to the ground level and add a nice dose of manure each winter to enhance foliage growth. This yarrow benefits from a layer of mulch to retain soil moisture, but does grow under poorer conditions since it is drought tolerant. Follow a regular watering schedule during the first growing season to establish a deep, extensive root system. Divide clumps every 2 to 3 years in early spring. Remove faded flowers to encourage more growth and divide every 3-4 years. For an attraction to butterflies, deer and rabbit resistant, one can’t go wrong with this plant. Hibiscus - Kopper King - USPP 10,793 - DetailsHibiscus - Kopper King - USPP 10,793 - Sale Price: $49.95
The Hibiscus ‘Kopper King’, is the most popular variety of the Fleming Hibiscus.  Named by James Fleming himself, it has a plant height of 4’ and beautiful dinner-plate size 12” flowers! The flowers are white with red centers that fade to pink as they streak through the veination to the petal’s edge. The foliage took over 20 years to develop and refine and one can see why. Unlike most hibiscuses, ‘Kopper King’ has maple-cut, copper-red shaded leaves, with some leaves having copper on both sides. It is best to plant this Hibiscus in a full sun area, and it will tolerate most soil types.  ‘Kopper King’ looks wonderful with grasses, as a background plant or with Hibiscus ‘Old Yella’. It grows well in any fertile, well-drained soil with ample moisture. Do not allow to dry to the wilting point.  Be patient; hibiscus can be slow to emerge in spring; provide regular fertilization during this growing season.  For best performance, plant before the heat of the summer. ‘Kopper King’ is suitable for very large containers, but pots must be protected over winter.  Although the hibiscus grows tall, the need for staking is rare.  These plants will die back to ground level during the winter months.  Be careful to not over water until plants show signs of growth! Hibiscus needs little care once established, attracts butterflies, and it has some of the largest flowers of any perennial! * Large flowers * Easy to grow * Vigorous grower
