The snow-like mass of little white flowers appears in early spring, and the frosty white, wooly foliage is stunning all season long. It produces long, twisted, and narrow gold leaves that have a “ripple” effect.  When the new leaves emerge, they have narrow blue-green margins that blend nicely toward their golden yellow centers.   The foliage makes a transition in the summer: to chartreuse with green margins.  Having lots of appeal, this low horizontal mounding hosta displays its lavender flowers in the summer, rising above its unique foliage. With its clusters of light yellow, daisy-like blooms and its green airy fernlike foliage, ‘Moonbeam’ Coreopsis blooms from June through October and is mildew resistant. ‘Moonbeam’ stands at 24” and has a plant spread of 18-24”. ‘Moonbeam’ should be planted in full sun. It is drought-tolerant and tough but does need well-drained soil. It should be cut backing early and late summer to extend the bloom period.
