Coreopsis - Moonbeam
Coreopsis - Moonbeam The Coreopsis ‘Moonbeam’, Coreopsis verticillata, is the most popular perennial in its family. ‘Moonbeam’ was named Perennial of the Year in 1995 and one can see why. With its clusters of light yellow, daisy-like blooms and its green airy fernlike foliage, ‘Moonbeam’ Coreopsis blooms from June through October and is mildew resistant. ‘Moonbeam’ stands at 24†and has a plant spread of 18-24â€Â. ‘Moonbeam’ should be planted in full sun. It is drought-tolerant and tough but does need well-drained soil. It should be cut backing early and late summer to extend the bloom period. Coreopsis ‘Moonbeam’ looks great with Coreopsis ‘Sweet Dreams’, and with any type of grass, in borders or mass plantings in sunny gardens. No garden should be without it.

Hosta - Gold Standard - Sale Price: $39.95 The Hosta 'Gold Standard', Hosta fortunei, has heart-shaped large broad leaves with creamy yellow and variable dark green margins. The pinkish, lavender flowers bloom from July to August, and it has a plant height of 24” and a spread of 36-48”. Hostas provide bright color in shade with their wonderful foliage. Hosta ‘Gold Standard’ needs to be planted in a full shade area in any moist, well-drained area. Hosta ‘Gold Standard’ was an American Hosta Society multiple winner, and is one of the most popular gold hostas on the market! This low care perennial is ideal for shady positions, tubs and patio pots, and one of the most popular for landscape uses. A great choice for any beginner gardener. It grows best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5. Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots. Plant ‘Gold Standard’ in an area that receives the right amount of light. The leaves need some morning sun to bring the rich golden color out; too much sun then the leaves will burn. ‘Gold Standard’ is most at home in shady, woodland settings and often works well in containers. Because of its stunning golden color and more horizontal habit, ‘Gold Standard’ is a great choice for mass plantings! * Heart shaped leaves * Popular * Horizontal habit |
| Daylily - Cherry Candy - Sale Price: $54.95 Hemerocallis Cherry Candy, Hemerocallis 'Cherry Candy', is an extended bloomer, so its flowers will remain open for at least 16 hours apiece! The lightly scented, 4¼ bloom of ‘Cherry Candy’ opens flat to show off its prominent bright red eye. The rounded overlapping petals are a light golden orange and are lined with a very fine red edging. The flowers appear on strong, well-branched scapes; can produce up to 30 buds per scape! Use this daylily for color in shrub borders and in perennial beds. Once established, the daylily can be an excellent groundcover on slopes because it has roots that hold soil against erosion; attracts butterflies. ‘Cherry Candy’ also makes a beautiful floral arrangement. Divide every 3-5 years, or when the number of flower buds and the size of bloom begin to decline. Planted together in large numbers, they quickly crowd out weeds and make a carefree and colorful ground cover. Daylilies grow best when planted in full sun to partial shade. In areas that receive less than 6 hours of sun during the day, your daylilies will probably produce fewer and smaller blooms, and the foliage may not be as robust. Because it is a highly performing daylily with gorgeous color and a long blooming habit, ‘Cherry Candy’ is a pleasure to have in any garden! * Long blooming * Hardy * Carefree |
