Clematis - Petit Faucon - Sale Price: $42.75 Clematis Petit Faucon, Clematis 'Petit Faucon', is an extraordinary and unique plant with unusual purple-blue flowers and a compact habit. At first the buds open to twisting petals that have bright orange-yellow stamens.  As they mature, the flowers turn to a rich blue around creamy stamens. Even in a hot, dry summer this plant continues to bloom strong! The fluffy white seed heads are beautiful and the combination of deep violet flowers and silvery seed puffs is stunning!   Petit Faucon is an extremely vigorous, free flowering, and strong growing clematis.  Early flowers appear on the previous season's growth while late summer flowers appear on new growth.  Petit Faucon blooms May-June and August-September. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. It needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs, over walls, and can be used as a container plant. Prune lightly above the new leaf buds in early spring and remove any dead or weak stems. Clematis Petit Faucon is a very reliable performer once established; it takes a season or two to get going. Clematis - Niobe - Sale Price: $44.95 The Clematis ‘Niobe’, Jackmanii x group, has dark red petals with gold anthers that blooms in June to July and range in height of 6-10’ and has a spread of 3’. The red flowers are approximately 6-8” wide.  Clematis ‘Niobe’ received the Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society and one can see why! The prominent dark red flowers of this clematis are outstanding and bloom heavily from late spring to late summer. The foliage is dark green and makes a great contrast with the flower color. Clematis prefers full sun but will tolerate shade in the morning in a well-drained area.  It is best to avoid heavy pruning on this perennial until it is fully established.   Clematis ‘Niobe’ needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs.  The tops of Clematis prefer full sun while their roots prefer a cool, shady area. Northern Sea Oats - River Mist - Sale Price: $56.95 The Northern Sea Oats River Mist, Chasmanthium latifolium 'River Mist' PP# 20643, is a carefree, easy to grow grass that provides light and texture to a shaded area with its handsome green blades and dramatic white stripes. Add a vivid look to your garden with this unique plant! It makes an amazing specimen or container plant, reaching heights of 30-36 inches. River Mist has an upright form until the flowers appear as graceful, drooping greenish blooms.
