Coreopsis - Crème Brulee - Sale Price: $39.95 The Coreopsis ‘Crème Brulee’ is new to the market and has bright deep yellow flowers that blooms from June through October.  Belonging to the Tickseed family, ‘Crème Brulee’ has larger flowers than most Coreopsis in its family. (PPAF) ‘Crème Brulee’ has a plant height of 24” and a spread of 18”.  The bright green thread leaf foliage makes a great contrast with the flower color.  The large flowers occur all along the stems rather than just above the foliage, giving a fuller overall appearance. ‘Crème Brulee’ should be planted in full sun.  It is drought-tolerant and tough but does need well-drained soil.  The foliage is mildew-resistant and should be cut backing early and late summer to extend the bloom period. A perfect sun-loving plant, it looks great with any type of grass, in borders or mass plantings in sunny gardens. Hibiscus - Sultry Kiss - Sale Price: $71.25 Hibiscus Sultry Kiss (Rose Mellow), Hibiscus moscheutos 'Sultry Kiss', will certainly make you aware of your landscape! 'Sultry Kiss' hibiscus displays brilliant, deep red buds that open to 9-11 inch wide, overlapping, purple-red flowers.  This hibiscus forms an upright mound of foliage that is well-branched with maple-like, dark green leaves that are bronze when they first emerge; and then mature to a dark green with reddish-purple stems. It provides a profusion of color from midsummer until frost. This super-long blooming shrub attracts butterflies, bees and hummingbirds all season long. 'Sultry Kiss' hibiscus need very little care over the winter; root hardy and needs no protection. 'Sultry Kiss' will die to the ground each year, so should be cut back to 4-6 from the ground in the spring.  Be careful not to over-water until plants show signs of growth.  Moist soils are best, but this hardy hibiscus is very drought tolerant as well.   It grows well in any fertile, well-drained soil with ample moisture.  Do not allow to dry to the wilting point.  Be patient; hibiscus can be slow to emerge in spring.  For best performance, plant in full sun in moist soil, before the heat of the summer. Scabiosa - Pink Mist - Sale Price: $24.95 The Scabiosa 'Pink Mist', Scabiosa columbaria, (PP 8957) also known as the Pincushion Flower, has wonderful 2 pink flowers that bloom from June to October. 'Pink Mist' is a reminiscent of a pincushion full of pins. With its gray-green foliage, it has a plant height of 12” and a spread of 12-18, not to mention being disease resistant. It is best to plant Pink Mist Scabiosa in full sun, with well-drained soil and should be watered regularly throughout the warmer months to increase its overall performance. Deadheading after the first bloom will encourage repeat bloom time. 'Pink Mist' is great for attracting butterflies and hummingbirds and does excellent in rock gardens. Periwinkle - Sale Price: $39.95 Periwinkle, Vinca minor, is also known as Trailing Myrtle, Dwarf Periwinkle and Creeping Myrtle. This species of Periwinkle is one of the most popular and widely used ground covers. Trailing stems with smooth, evergreen leaves (to 1.5 long) root at the nodes as they go along the ground and quickly spread to form an attractive ground cover. Tubular, lavender blue, phlox-like flowers (to 1 inch across) appear in the leaf axils in spring and continue to flower intermittently throughout summer into fall. Foliage will mound up to 6 tall. Periwinkles are used as a versatile ground cover and provide good cover for bulb beds. Effective on slopes or banks to stabilize soils and prevent erosion. Easily grown in average, dry to medium wet, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. It tolerates full shade, but it prefers moist, humusy soils in part shade. Plant 12-18 apart to cover large areas. This evergreen perennial is similar in all ways to Vinca Major except the flower is a little smaller.
