Ligularia - Brit Marie - Sale Price: $42.75 The Ligularia Brit Marie Crawford, Ligularia dentate ‘Brit Marie’, is a wonderful yellow-orange, daisy-like flower with huge glossy maroon foliage that remains dark for most of the season.  (This plant was first discovered by Britt-Marie Crawford in Fife, Scotland.) ‘Brit Marie’ is a clump-forming herbaceous perennial that is grown not only for its showy purple-black leaves, but also for its summer display of bold daisy-like orange-yellow flowers! The foliage can be rounding, kidney-shaped, or triangular with a wavy margin.  The flowers appear on tall spikes and bloom from July to August.   ‘Brit Marie’ has a plant height of 3-4’ and a spread of 36-48”. Butterfly Plant - Cinderella - Sale Price: $39.95 Butterfly Plant Cinderella, Asclepias incarnata 'Cinderella', is a virtually hassle-free perennial, offering three months of vanilla-scented, rose-pink flowers in large, compact clusters from midsummer to early fall. Deadheading the flowers will stimulate another bloom cycle about a month after the first one. The flowers, which are heavily laden with nectar and pollen, are particularly attractive to hummingbirds, butterflies, bees, and other beneficial insects. Asclepias incarnata is easily grown in medium to wet soils in full sun. It is surprisingly tolerant of average well-drained soils in cultivation even though the species is native to swamps and wet meadows. Ivy - Thorndale English - Sale Price: $49.95 The Thorndale English Ivy, Hedera helix 'Thorndale', has dark green foliage, like English Ivy, is cold hardy, and the leaves are larger than the species. It is a vigorous, evergreen, self-clinging or trailing vine with 3 to 5 lobed, glossy leaves with prominent veins. This ivy likes well-drained soil and makes a beautiful ground cover when established. Thorndale English Ivy will attach and grow up brick walls, but can be used in hanging baskets, or as a houseplant. It is very hardy and trouble-free, though it should never be allowed to grow up the trunks of trees. Major pruning should be done in early spring.
