Salvia - May Night - Sale Price: $39.95 The Salvia ‘May Night’, Salvia nemorosa ‘Mainacht’, has glowing purple stems loaded with violet-purple flowers that bloom from June to October. With its blue-gray, lance-shaped aromatic foliage, it makes an attractive accent all summer long. It has a plant height of 18” and a spread of 18-24” and stays in excellent compact form. It was selected Perennial Plant of the year in 1997, and one can see why. Salvia ‘May Night’ should be planted in full sun in a moist well-drained area. To increase bloom time, it should be cut back after the first bloom. It can be clipped back hard after blooming to rejuvenate the foliage. ‘May Night’ is a magnet for butterflies, bees and hummingbirds and is deer-resistant. It is hardy for container gardening and provides excellent cut flowers. This plant tolerates heat and humidity. You may divide this plant in early spring or fall. Clematis - Dr. Ruppel - Sale Price: $42.75 Clematis Dr. Ruppel, Clematis 'Dr. Ruppel', features deep rose-pink 8 inch flowers that have petals with bold carmine-red central bars. Wonderfully free flowering plants bloom in late spring and again in late summer. Its compact habit makes 'Dr. Ruppel' one of the best for container growing. It is also known for its large attractive spherical seed heads. Good cut flower variety. Awarded Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit. Clematis 'Dr. Ruppel' needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs, over walls, cover stumps, and make perfect cover ups for unsightly service areas. Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply a generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. Very reliable performers once established; they take a season or two.

Clematis - Henryi - Sale Price: $44.95 The Clematis ‘Henryi’, Lanuginosa X group, has white flowers with chocolate brown anthers that bloom in June and September;  range in height of 10-12’ and a spread of 3’. The red flowers are approximately 6-8” wide.  Clematis ‘Henryi’ was a winner of the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit and one can see why! The foliage is dark green and makes a great contrast with the flower color. Clematis prefers full sun but will tolerate shade in the morning in a well-drained area. It is best to avoid heavy pruning on this perennial until it is fully established. Clematis ‘Henryi’ needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs. The tops of Clematis prefer full sun while their roots prefer a cool, shady area.  It is best to heavily mulch the root zone to provide this cool, shady area. Lavender - English Munstead - Sale Price: $39.95 The English Lavender Munstead, 'Lavandula angustifolia 'Munstead', is one of the Lavandula angustifolias or English lavenders.  This plant is a branched, woody, perennial lavender plant that grows much like a small evergreen shrub.  The narrow leaves are about 2 inches long and have a pleasing gray-green color. A fragrant and a robust lavender, 'Munstead' makes a great hedge.  English Lavender ‘Munstead’ blooms profusely in the spring, after which a good pruning will provide an attractive gray bush with highly aromatic leaves! ‘Munstead’ is able to tolerate heat better than most other lavenders.  For good drainage, add sand to the bottom of the hole, especially if planting it in clay soil.  In order to have a bushier and taller plant, it should be pruned back the first year. This compact variety of English lavender has lavender blue flowers and is not only great for landscapes, but the flowers have a rich sweet flavor and are especially good when used with sweets, such as in baking and even added to tea! Only the flower petals should be eaten.  Pull the flowers away from the little brown or green cap.  Lavender flowers can be fresh-frozen or dried. The first-ever seedless Rose of Sharon, Hibiscus Azurri Satin® has large, rich blue flowers, ruffled margins, and deep red eye centers. This strong growing and easy to maintain shrub has a uniform habit and thrives in the warm sunshine. Keep it well watered during growth. Azurri Satin does best in full sun, but light shade is acceptable, especially in far southern or southwestern climates. It grows in about any soil unless it is either really wet or dry.
