Tiny, star-shaped, rose-red flowers bloom in late spring to midsummer. Voodoo is easily grown in average, dry to medium moisture, well-drained soils in full sun, but it does tolerate some light shade. This plant thrives in sandy or gravelly soils, but needs good soil drainage to perform well; avoid overwatering. The plants should be spaced 12” apart when grown as a ground cover. Do not allow Astilbe ‘Rheinland’ to dry out since it prefers moist, humusy, organically rich soils.  It is most successfully grown in a shady area, but can tolerate some morning sun. A moist, well-drained area is a key feature for growing a healthy plant.  In order to keep Astilbe looking good for the next year, do not cut it back in the winter, (the old foliage helps protect the plant from winter damage), but prune in early spring. Daylily - Nosferatu - Sale Price: $54.95 Hemerocallis Nosferatu, Hemerocallis 'Nosferatu', shows off its huge, broad triangle-shaped petals!   It has fragrant 6 flowers that have a shiny dark purple color. These ruffled blossoms prove to hold their color in the sun and have more prominent veining in their purple petals. ‘Nosferatu’ blooms mid season, has a very high bud count, is an easy to grow variety, and will stand up to even the harshest of conditions. This daylily is a semi evergreen tetraploid.  Individual flowers last only one day, but since each plant produces many buds, the total blooming time of a well-established clump may last more than a month; attracts butterflies.
