In some ways, it is even more pleasing than its big brother, Karl. It has medium blade width and flowers in June through July. It will most likely remain upright throughout the winter. Variegated Feather Reed does well in heavy clay soils, unlike many of the other ornamental grasses. It provides an excellent vertical accent for borders and for narrow spaces in the landscape. It is also effective in moist low spots or on pond/stream banks. With ample moisture it will do well in full sun, but likes a little shade in hot climates. Variegated Feather Reed works well as a specimen, or incorporated into a border and makes a good low screen, especially in somewhat shady areas. Use as a backdrop for roses and other perennials. Hosta - Seducer - Sale Price: $42.75 The Hosta Seducer, Hosta 'Seducer', is a very large sized hosta with broad dark green leaves.  ‘Seducer' has dark green leaves that are trimmed in slightly ruffled, yellow margins.  There is a trace of a white line that develops between the two colors as the season progresses; summer heat is needed for the white line to develop. Late summer through fall, the clump is topped by near white flowers that rise on tall scapes.  Because ‘Seducer’ has large leaves its coloration is very distinct. Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5.  Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots.  It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails.  Plant this low care plant in an area that receives the right amount of light.  The leaves need some morning sun to bring out the best coloration; too much sun will burn the leaves.  ‘Seducer' is most at home in shady, woodland settings and often works well as specimen or edging plant. ‘Seducer' has an amazing assortment of colors in each leaf that intensifies in bright light; fairly sun tolerant but should be given dappled shade. * Heart shaped leaves * Easy to grow * Large plant

The dark green thread-like foliage makes a great contrast with its flower color, blooming from June through October. ‘Limerock Ruby’ is extremely drought tolerant with a plant height of 12” and a spread of 23-27”.  With cool autumn weather, the flowers make an even more outstanding color scheme. ‘Limerock Ruby’ should be planted in full sun, and even though it is drought-tolerant and tough, it does need well-drained soil.  It should be cut back early and late summer to extend the bloom period.
