Daylily - Stella Supreme
Daylily - Stella Supreme The Daylily Stella Supreme, 'Hemerocallis 'Stella Supreme', is a durable perennial with its grass-like leaves that produces showy clusters of lemon-chiffon yellow lily-like blooms on tall stems. The flowers appear in late spring/early summer and continue until frost. It grows 14 inches tall and it is very effective when planted in drifts! Try this perennial in mixed beds and borders, containers and large mass plantings. The ‘Stella Supreme’ is day-blooming and rises from compact clumps of green strap-like leaves that become fully dormant in winter. If well cared for, this daylily will regularly rebloom. The ‘Stella Supreme’ daylily does not require deadheading, pruning or pinching. This plant will also attract hummingbirds as well as butterflies; prefers full sun and soil with good drainage. This daylily is wonderful for small places, such as containers on patios or the small garden. Planted together in large numbers, they quickly crowd out weeds and make a carefree and colorful ground cover. Daylilies can survive many harsh conditions that other plants cannot including: polluted city environments, slopes, poor and dry soils, near pavement that is salted in winter, and under Black Walnut trees (not affected by juglone). With its showy, soft, lemon chiffon blooms and durability, ‘Stella Supreme’ is hands down one of the best rebloomers you will ever have in your garden! * Small, clumping habit * Early bloomer * Durable
