Black-eyed Susan - Goldsturm - Sale Price: $39.95 The Rudbeckia ‘Goldsturm Black-Eyed Susan’, Rudbeckia fulgida, is an easy to grow perennial with large flower heads of golden- yellow and black to brown centers. The flower heads are 3½ to 5 inches across, with a plant spread of 18-24” and a height of 24”.  The dark green foliage sits at the bottom on the tall daisy-like flowers that bloom from July to September. Rudbeckia ‘Goldsturm' Black Eyed-Susan was selected Perennial of the Year in 1999, and one can see why!  It is an extremely showy plant that is excellent for cut flowers; also heat and humidity tolerant. This Black-Eyed Susan needs to be grown in full sun in somewhat moist soil conditions in a well-drained area. Rudbeckia attracts butterflies, provides food for birds in the winter and is mildew-resistant. Coral Bells - Obsidian - Sale Price: $42.75 The Coral Bells Obsidian, Heuchera 'Obsidian' (PP14,836), with its jet black, smooth round leaves, has the darkest foliage to date of the Coral Bells; closer to true black than any other Heuchera.  This wonderful deep purplish-black foliage also has a polished glassy luster! In early summer, 24” smoky purple buds appear on tall shoots and then open to cream colored flowers. Pair the Obsidian with Coral Bells Lime Ricky, Marmalade or Peach Flambe for a fantastic color contrast! Coral Bells are grown more for their foliage color but the small blooms that they contain will attract hummingbirds.  Like most Coral Bells, Obsidian' thrives in partial sunlight but once established it will also grow in shade. Use this coral bell as a ground cover, in rock gardens, as a border plant or as an edging along paths and walkways.  This 12” mounded plant will set off perfectly any bright flower in the garden or a container! 'Barren Strawberry' bears yellow flowers in spring and then shows warm, yellow colors in autumn. This plant looks great when combined with Veronica 'Royal Candles', Saliva 'Marcus' and grasses. Joey Tomocik Water Lily - Sale Price: $29.95 The vibrant yellow of this water lily makes others look pale by comparison because it has the deepest yellow blooms of all the yellow lilies!   It is no wonder that experts voted this “Hardy Waterlily of 2005.” It was dedicated by Dr. Kirk Strawn in 1993 to Joe Tomocik of the Denver Botanical Gardens, who named it for his daughter. Its flowers are held several inches above emerald green leaves. The yellow flowers are 4-5 inches wide, the leaves are 8-10 inches wide, and the overall plant spread is 4-5 feet wide.
