Coreopsis - Big Bang™ - Sale Price: $42.75 Coreopsis Big Bang™, Coreopsis 'Redshift' PP20,412 Big Bang™ Series, is a clump-forming variety that produces large 2 inch diameter creamy yellow flowers. Coreopsis 'Redshift' PP20,412 adds a pop of color with a ring of red that encircles the gold button-like centers. In the cool fall, new blooms bring an unexpected shift in color that varies from pale yellow with red streaking through the petals to a solid red. 'Redshift' Coreopsis is easy to place, requiring only a sunny spot with average garden soil. It is a very heavy bloomer and cuts well. Give this plant a hard shearing to promote rebloom. Blooms June to July with some blooming until fall. Plant 'Redshift' into well-drained, lean, non-clay soils, and mix it with red or orange flowers for an outrageous display of floral fireworks. It has a plant height of 4-5' and wonderful 10 dinner plate-sized, 5-petaled, hollyhock-like flowers blooms.  Individual flowers are very short-lived (usually one day), but one or more flowers usually open each day, and this continues in succession from midsummer to early fall! The light green leaves make a wonderful contrast.  'Blue River II' is easily grown in average, medium to wet soils in full sun. It does best in moist, organically rich soils, but does surprisingly well in average garden soils; do not allowed to dry out.  Plant 'Blue River II' in locations protected from wind to minimize risk of wind burn. If you deadhead individual flowers this will maintain a neat and colorful plant appearance. New growth shoots are slow to emerge in spring, however, once new growth begins, it proceeds quite rapidly; provide regular fertilization during this growing season. 'Pink Mist' is a reminiscent of a pincushion full of pins. With its gray-green foliage, it has a plant height of 12” and a spread of 12-18, not to mention being disease resistant. It is best to plant Pink Mist Scabiosa in full sun, with well-drained soil and should be watered regularly throughout the warmer months to increase its overall performance.
