Clematis - Kilian Donahue
Clematis Kilian Donahue, Clematis 'Kilian Donahue', is a wonderful new cultivar with a multicolor look! This early bloomer opens with ruby red centers that fade out to brilliant fuchsia bars, with orchid colored petal edges.  As the 5 flowers age, they fade to lavender with pink bars. An excellent repeat bloomer throughout the summer months, this clematis has flowers that mature through a series of rich bicolor combinations ending with lavender and rich pink. It almost appears as two clematis planted together, since the new and older flowers bloom together at the same time! Clematis 'Kilian Donahue' needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs, over walls, cover stumps, and make perfect cover ups for unsightly service areas. Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. Groom this plant after first flowering by cutting back the top one-third to one-half of some stems. Clematis 'Kilian Donahue' is a very reliable performer once established; it takes a season or two to get going! You will enjoy this excellent repeat bloomer throughout the summer months! * Reliable * Multicolor flowers * Early bloomer

Bleeding Heart - Candy Hearts - DetailsBleeding Heart - Candy Hearts - Sale Price: $42.75
Bleeding Heart 'Candy Hearts', Dicentra 'Candy Hearts' PP#14,692, is part of a new generation of bleeding hearts that are nothing like your grandma's old fashioned bleeding hearts! This exceptional, dwarf variety blooms from mid spring until a hard frost.  The pendulous flowers accent the lacy, blue-grey foliage and are shaped like cute little rose-pink hearts. Dicentra 'Candy Hearts' remain compact and attractive all season long!  The delicate fragrance is an added bonus for the senses! With its elegant long stems and famous heart-shaped flowers, Dicentra is perfect for a border or patio container, and will thrive in a partially shaded spot.  This really is a shade lover, delighting in full to part shade conditions. This plant will perform in the full sun but will tend to disappear in mid-summer when it has all the sun it can handle.  It usually pops back up the following spring. It is best to plant it in fertile but well-drained soils.  ‘Candy Hearts’ prefers consistently moist, humus-rich soils that are similar to a great woodland soil -- full of organic matter and richly fertile. Daylily - Scentual Sundance - DetailsDaylily - Scentual Sundance - Sale Price: $49.95
The Daylily 'Scentual Sundance', Hemerocallis 'Scentual Sundance', produces clusters of 4 inch golden yellow flowers with a green throat that cover this ever-blooming daylily from June until frost.  This daylily has an added bonus beyond its brilliant color and lush foliage, it is wonderfully fragrant! The foliage is broader, with more substance, strength and deeper green color than 'Stella'.  Remove old foliage in late fall. 'Scentual Sundance' is a rugged plant and adapts to a wide range of soil and light conditions.  It establishes quickly, grows vigorously, and survives winters with little or no injury. Deadheading spent buds and removing old scapes will improve overall look, but not improve plant performance.    Individual flowers last only one day, but since each plant produces many buds, the total blooming time of a well-established clump may last more than a month.  Use this daylily for color in shrub borders and in perennial beds; attracts butterflies. Once established, the daylily can be an excellent groundcover on slopes because it has roots that hold soil against erosion.  Divide every 3-5 years, or when the number of flower buds and the size of bloom begin to decline.  'Scentual Sundance' is an outstanding beauty that has it all!  Beautiful flowers, lush foliage, and it is wonderfully fragrant!   * Fragrant * Long blooming * Durable
