Clematis - Kilian Donahue - Sale Price: $42.75 Clematis Kilian Donahue, Clematis 'Kilian Donahue', is a wonderful new cultivar with a multicolor look! This early bloomer opens with ruby red centers that fade out to brilliant fuchsia bars, with orchid colored petal edges.  As the 5 flowers age, they fade to lavender with pink bars. An excellent repeat bloomer throughout the summer months, this clematis has flowers that mature through a series of rich bicolor combinations ending with lavender and rich pink. It almost appears as two clematis planted together, since the new and older flowers bloom together at the same time! Clematis 'Kilian Donahue' needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs, over walls, cover stumps, and make perfect cover ups for unsightly service areas. Clematis is easy to grow in a rich, porous, alkaline soil with plenty of room for the roots to spread. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. Hibiscus - Sultry Kiss - Sale Price: $71.25 Hibiscus Sultry Kiss (Rose Mellow), Hibiscus moscheutos 'Sultry Kiss', will certainly make you aware of your landscape! 'Sultry Kiss' hibiscus displays brilliant, deep red buds that open to 9-11 inch wide, overlapping, purple-red flowers.  This hibiscus forms an upright mound of foliage that is well-branched with maple-like, dark green leaves that are bronze when they first emerge; and then mature to a dark green with reddish-purple stems. It provides a profusion of color from midsummer until frost. This super-long blooming shrub attracts butterflies, bees and hummingbirds all season long. 'Sultry Kiss' hibiscus need very little care over the winter; root hardy and needs no protection. This species of Periwinkle is one of the most popular and widely used ground covers. Trailing stems with smooth, evergreen leaves (to 1.5 long) root at the nodes as they go along the ground and quickly spread to form an attractive ground cover. Tubular, lavender blue, phlox-like flowers (to 1 inch across) appear in the leaf axils in spring and continue to flower intermittently throughout summer into fall. Foliage will mound up to 6 tall. Periwinkles are used as a versatile ground cover and provide good cover for bulb beds. Effective on slopes or banks to stabilize soils and prevent erosion. Easily grown in average, dry to medium wet, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. It tolerates full shade, but it prefers moist, humusy soils in part shade.
