Peony - Monsieur Jules Elie - Sale Price: $71.35 Peony Monsieur Jules Elie, Paeonia lactiflora 'Monsieur Jules Elie', is a favorite for late spring display and is prized for its very large, fragrant, double light rose-pink flowers that displays a silvery sheen. The plant forms an upright bush of dark green leaves, remaining attractive all season. Peony Monsieur Jules Elie seldom needs to be divided or moved, but if it is needed, it should be done in the fall. Trim off old stems to the ground in late fall, to help prevent disease problems. This early bloomer opens with ruby red centers that fade out to brilliant fuchsia bars, with orchid colored petal edges.  As the 5 flowers age, they fade to lavender with pink bars. An excellent repeat bloomer throughout the summer months, this clematis has flowers that mature through a series of rich bicolor combinations ending with lavender and rich pink. It almost appears as two clematis planted together, since the new and older flowers bloom together at the same time! Clematis 'Kilian Donahue' needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs, over walls, cover stumps, and make perfect cover ups for unsightly service areas.
