The leaves are flecked maroon before maturing to all green. ‘Sirius’ is truly a classic in the water lily world, hybridized by Latour-Marliac Nursery in 1913. The purple-red flowers are 6-7 inches wide, the large leaves are 10-11 inches wide, and the overall plant spread is 5-6 feet wide. This water lily grows best in full to partial sun. Daylily - Cherry Candy - Sale Price: $54.95 Hemerocallis Cherry Candy, Hemerocallis 'Cherry Candy', is an extended bloomer, so its flowers will remain open for at least 16 hours apiece! The lightly scented, 4¼ bloom of ‘Cherry Candy’ opens flat to show off its prominent bright red eye.  The rounded overlapping petals are a light golden orange and are lined with a very fine red edging.   The flowers appear on strong, well-branched scapes; can produce up to 30 buds per scape! Use this daylily for color in shrub borders and in perennial beds.
