Hosta - Halcyon - Sale Price: $56.95 Gardeners are always looking for two things: 1) shade plants and 2) blue plants. The Halcyon Hosta is made for the shade and is the most interesting frosty ocean-blue color, earning it the 1997 Award of Merit (AGM). It’s a vigorous (but slower) grower with ribbed, spear-shaped foliage that sits underneath white-to-lavender bell-shaped flowers from July to August — but the real show is the foliage itself. Slug-resistant, attracts hummingbirds during blooming. Halycon Hosta grows in the familiar “fountain” mound shape to about 2’ tall and wide, and prefers full shade in a moist but well-drained spot. Also known as funkia or plantain lily, Hosta Halcyon is a reliable winner that requires little attention. Spectacular when planted in shade borders, around large shade trees and even in large containers. One of the best hostas available. Zones 4-8.

Clematis - Mme. Julia Correvon - Sale Price: $42.75 Clematis Mme. Julia Correvon, Clematis viticella 'Mme. Julia Correvon', produces stunning 4 true red flowers that display their beauty nearly all summer long! The flower tepals have deeply veined midribs and margins that are somewhat scalloped and recurving.  As each flower matures, the tepals twist, which creates an interesting combination of aging twisted flowers and fully open new flowers. 'Mme. Julia Correvon' is a vigorous grower that looks lovely when allowed to grow through small trees or shrubs! 'Mme. Julia Correvon' needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs, over walls, cover stumps, and make perfect cover ups for unsightly service areas. Yarrow - Paprika - Sale Price: $64.25 The Yarrow ‘Paprika’, Achillea millefolium, is an upright gold centered, fading to light pink & creamy yellow, Yarrow that blooms from June through September. With fern-like aromatic silvery to gray-green foliage, it is considered to be one of the best yarrows in any landscape. The foliage has a somewhat strong, spicy aroma, which persists when used in dried arrangements. The flower heads are 3-4” wide, with a spread of 18-24” and a height of 24”. This Yarrow does well in average garden soils, but prefers lean, dry to medium wet, well-drained soil. (Avoid heavy clays and moist, rich, fertile soils.) Yarrow should be planted in full sun and is tolerant to hot humid summers. ‘Paprika’ is excellent for cutting, fresh or dried. Remove faded flowers regularly to promote continued blooming. Inclined to spread, so site this carefully or plan to reduce the clumps each spring. For an attraction to butterflies, deer and rabbit resistant, one can’t go wrong with this plant.

Hosta - Satisfaction - Sale Price: $42.75 The Hosta Satisfaction, Hosta 'Satisfaction', is an incredibly spectacular and dramatic gold-edged sport of Hosta Piedmont Gold.  'Satisfaction' is bordered by wide leaf margins that are light green at first, and then turn bright gold in early summer. The gold margins get to be about 2 wide at maturity; near white flowers top the clump in mid-summer.  ‘Satisfaction' is a low mounded and stunning hosta.  It will have an impact on any area of your shade garden, and the margins turn cream if placed in a sunny location! Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5.  Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots.  It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails.  Plant this low care plant in an area that receives the right amount of light.  The leaves need some morning sun to bring out the best coloration; too much sun will burn the leaves.  ‘Satisfaction' is most at home in shady, woodland settings and often works well as specimen or edging plant. Coral Bells - Midnight Rose - Sale Price: $49.95 Coral Bells Midnight Rose, Heuchera 'Midnight Rose', has burnished black leaves that are speckled with hot pink in the spring.  As the season progress, the spots turn cream and green and the foliage becomes lighter.  For additional color, 'Midnight Rose' releases tall shoots of tiny pink flowers during the summer months. It looks especially good around the edge of borders, near variegated plants, woodland edges, rock gardens, perennial borders, or in mass to form an attractive ground cover. 'Midnight Rose' looks excellent in partly shaded borders, under trees, and even mixed into ornamental containers on shady patios.   Cold and drought tolerant and withstanding heat and humidity, nothing seems to phase this plant.  But to keep 'Midnight Rose' looking its best, be sure to water in hot, dry weather, giving the plant about one inch of water per week; divide clumps in fall.
