Ligularia - Osiris Cafe Noir - Sale Price: $42.75 Ligularia Osiris Café Noir, Ligularia dentata 'Osiris Café Noir', emerges in the spring with deep purple-black foliage, morphs to shades of bronze, and then matures to an olive green. ‘Osiris Café Noir’ has thick, leathery leaves with serrated edges. The lovely golden flowers appear in late summer above the tall 20” stems.  Using it as a focal point, this plant makes a great specimen in a yard, and also looks especially attractive in a container on the patio! Hibiscus - Kopper King - USPP 10,793 - Sale Price: $49.95 The Hibiscus ‘Kopper King’, is the most popular variety of the Fleming Hibiscus.  Named by James Fleming himself, it has a plant height of 4’ and beautiful dinner-plate size 12” flowers! The flowers are white with red centers that fade to pink as they streak through the veination to the petal’s edge. The foliage took over 20 years to develop and refine and one can see why. Unlike most hibiscuses, ‘Kopper King’ has maple-cut, copper-red shaded leaves, with some leaves having copper on both sides. It is best to plant this Hibiscus in a full sun area, and it will tolerate most soil types.  ‘Kopper King’ looks wonderful with grasses, as a background plant or with Hibiscus ‘Old Yella’. It grows well in any fertile, well-drained soil with ample moisture. Do not allow to dry to the wilting point.  Be patient; hibiscus can be slow to emerge in spring; provide regular fertilization during this growing season.  For best performance, plant before the heat of the summer. ‘Kopper King’ is suitable for very large containers, but pots must be protected over winter.  Although the hibiscus grows tall, the need for staking is rare.  These plants will die back to ground level during the winter months.  Be careful to not over water until plants show signs of growth! Astilbe - Fanal - Sale Price: $49.95 The Astilbe ‘Fanal’, Astilbe arendsii, is a colorful feathery flower with deep red blooms and lacy deep green or bronze-green foliage. The foliage in spring is mahogany, but as autumn approaches, the blooms turn to shades of brown that look wonderful in winter snowscapes. The flowers contrast wonderfully with the dark green glossy foliage.  Astilbe ‘Fanal’ blooms in midsummer and is 24” tall and a plant width of 18-24”.  Do not allow Astilbe ‘Fanal’ to dry out. 'Fanal' is most successfully grown in a shady area but can tolerate some morning sun.  A moist, well-drained area is a key factor for growing a healthy plant. In order to keep Astilbe looking good for the next year, do not cut it back in the winter, (the old foliage helps protect the plant from winter damage), but prune in early spring. This low-growing, spreading perennial plant is a woody ground cover. Gro-Low produces clusters of hairy red fruit in late summer and early autumn (on female plants only).  Autumn color varies from orange and scarlet to a stunning reddish purple.  The foliage is dense, glossy, and aromatic and is great for mass planting and bank control.  Xeriscape plant.
