Clematis - Petit Faucon - Sale Price: $42.75 Clematis Petit Faucon, Clematis 'Petit Faucon', is an extraordinary and unique plant with unusual purple-blue flowers and a compact habit. At first the buds open to twisting petals that have bright orange-yellow stamens.  As they mature, the flowers turn to a rich blue around creamy stamens. Even in a hot, dry summer this plant continues to bloom strong! The fluffy white seed heads are beautiful and the combination of deep violet flowers and silvery seed puffs is stunning!   Petit Faucon is an extremely vigorous, free flowering, and strong growing clematis.  Early flowers appear on the previous season's growth while late summer flowers appear on new growth.  Petit Faucon blooms May-June and August-September. Best performance is when the tops are in full sunlight and the roots are shaded, so apply generous mulch or a shallow-rooted ground cover near the base of the vine. It needs a supporting structure to grow properly but will also grow over large shrubs, over walls, and can be used as a container plant. Geranium - Crane's Bill - Sale Price: $56.95 The Geranium 'Crane's Bill', Geranium sanguineum, is a hardy clump-forming perennial that produces rose-cerise colored flowers in late spring. (Also known as Bloody Cranesbill). This plant requires minimal care.  Providing well-drained soil is beneficial, and it is at home in almost any soil as along as its well drained. It needs to be planted in an area of full sun to partial shade and also must be cut down, after flowering, almost all the way to the ground. It is best to pinch rather heavily after flowering to encourage blooming throughout the summer.  'Crane's Bill' is actually an attractive plant all season, in or out of bloom.  The foliage is usually more distinctly cut than other geraniums, giving it a delicate appearance.
