Hosta - Revolution
The Hosta Revolution, Hosta 'Revolution', is a sport of the popular hosta Loyalist which in turn is a sport of the hosta Patriot. It is considered one of the most distinctive hosta's to be released in years. It has cream colored leaves that are speckled with green and a irregular dark green margin around the leaves. The lavender flowers of this hosta appear on 20 inch stems, however hosta’s are not known for their flowers. Hosta’s provide bright color in shade with wonderful foliage and Revolution is no exception. Revolution will tolerate shade to partial sun and should be planted in any moist, well-drained spot. This low care perennial is ideal for shady positions, tubs and patio pots, and is one of the most popular landscape plants. A great choice for any beginner gardener.

The Grass 'Northern Sea Oats', Chasmanthium latifolium, is upright and arching. It may also be known as Wild oats or Spangle grass. It is treasured for its showy, dropping flowers and slender, bamboo-like foliage that changes from green, to copper, to rich brown. During the summer season the flowerheads shimmer and dance in the wind. Very attractive! Sea Oats is easy to grow in full sun or in the shade. The soil needs to be well-drained. The Lavender 'Hidcote', Lavandula angustifolia 'Hidcote', is a dwarf variety that is a compact grower and reaches 18-24 inches tall.  It produces fragrant spikes of dark purple flowers in summer.  These flowers produce the purest lavender scent! Being drought tolerant, it is ideal as a short perennial shrub border or as an herb in a kitchen garden.  Lavender was selected in 1999 as the International Herb Association Plant of the Year! This plant is great for hedges and edging because 'Hidcote' has a more erect and compact habit.  It boasts 2½-inch, linear, downy leaves on strong stems.   The leaves open white, then turn a pale gray-blue-green color.  This Lavender grows in a well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil in an open, sunny spot.  For better drainage, add sand in the hole when first planting this lavender. Trim back in spring to encourage bushier growth; also deadhead after flowering. The sweetest scent of all lavender, it is also the most cold hardy, and it should be pruned back the first year. If you want dried flowers,  pick when showing color but before fully open; tie in bunches and hang in a cool, airy place. The Sargent Juniper, Juniperus chinensis 'Sargentii Viridis', is a rich green spreading evergreen that forms a dense carpet. The color of the foliage is consistent through the winter. The nice green color has just a hint of blue to it. This juniper makes an excellent ground cover and withstands heat and salt. It has long creeping feeler type branches that reminds you of starfish legs. 'Sargent' is a very hardy juniper and displays wind and drought tolerance. 'Sargent' does not get out of control and is fairly low maintenance. Use as a mid-level ground cover or in foreground plantings. It likes well drained soils like most all junipers.

The Hemerocallis ‘Pardon Me’, also known as a Daylily, has a very fragrant, small cranberry-wine, almost red flower, with a yellow throat, and a flower size of 3”.  It has dark green foliage and will reach a height of 18” and a plant spread of 23-29”. ‘Pardon Me’ will bloom from May through July, with outstanding color and a definite rebloomer.  This plant prefers a full sun area that is well-drained.
