Fothergilla - Mount Airy - Sale Price: $29.95 The Mount Airy Fothergilla, Fothergilla major 'Mount Airy', is an upright deciduous shrub with a slow growth rate. This shrub must be planted in acid soils in order to perform (use sulfur at planting). 'Mount Airy' produces fragrant flower spikes that resemble a bottle brush and is a heavy bloomer. The foliage is blue-green on top, whitish beneath in the summer, and has an outstanding yellow/orange/red color in the fall.
