Hydrangea - Quick Fireâ„¢ Quick Fire™ Hydrangea, Hydrangea paniculata 'Bulk' (PP16,812), is quick to bloom, nearly a month earlier than other varieties and turns a rich, deep pink. Extend the hydrangea season in your garden with a planting of this quick and easy to grow hydrangea. The flowers on Quick Fire are not affected by soil pH. They are produced on ‘new wood’ and will bloom after even the harshest winters. They are beautiful for use as a cut (fresh or dried) flower. Quick fire is a deciduous shrub with a moderate to fast growth habit which grows 6-8 feet in height and width and prefers full sun or partial shade and moist, well-drained soil. It blooms regardless of climate, soil, pH or pruning! You may prune this plant to maintain a desired size. Prune in late fall or early spring. Prune off dead flowers when they get brown.
