Ajuga - Chocolate Chip - Sale Price: $39.95 The Ajuga ‘Chocolate Chip’, Ajuga x 'Chocolate Chip', is a useful ground cover with short spikes of blue flowers. This Ajuga has unusually narrow foliage of dark green, overlaid with chocolate-brown, forming a very low clump.  It is most noted for its dwarf habit and its chocolate foliage. The flowers appear in spring and are 4” in height with a plant width of 12-18”. It is not as invasive as most other Ajuga and best-planted 6-9” apart for a quick cover. Ajuga ‘Chocolate Chips’ will do best in a shaded area but will adapt to morning sun. It prefers moist soil with a good drainage but will tolerate moderately dry areas. Avoid soggy conditions; Ajuga ‘Chocolate Chip’ looks great in rock gardens and in front of borders and in containers. The pointed, frosty blue-green leaves are complemented by a lovely creamy margin.  Hosta 'Sleeping Beauty' is a superb grower with thick, slug resistant foliage; pale lavender blue flowers appear in mid-summer.  Hostas grow best in moist, well-drained, highly organic soils with a pH between 5.5 and 7.5.  Sandy loam is better than clay because it provides more aeration for the roots.  It is best to keep areas around hostas clear of excess leaf debris to reduce the presence of slugs and snails.  Plant this low care plant in an area that receives the right amount of light.  The leaves need some morning sun to bring out the best coloration; too much sun will burn the leaves. Grass - Blue Dune Lyme - Sale Price: $99.95 The Grass 'Blue Dune Lyme', Leymus arenarius 'Blue Dune', is an improvement over the species.  It has bright blue foliage and stems; provides dusty blue blooms readily throughout the summer!
