Grass - Flame, Miscanthus 'Purpurascens', as the common name suggests, is noted for its superior orange-red fall color. It is a compact, upright, warm season, clump-forming ornamental grass which typically grows to 3' to 4' tall. Flame Grass features medium green blades with a reddish tinge which gradually develop further reddish hues as summer progresses, eventually turning a brilliant orange-red in fall. Burgundy foliage and creamy white seed plumes persist well into winter, providing a striking winter interest. Flame Grass is easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. It is tolerant of a wide range of soils from well-drained sandy soils to the heavy clay. Flame Grass prefers moist soils and does best in full sun. This versatile ornamental grass can be used as an accent, specimen, grouping, screen or by the water. The most important consideration when growing Flame Grass is to make sure that it receives ample moisture.

The Coreopsis ‘Crème Brulee’ is new to the market and has bright deep yellow flowers that blooms from June through October. Belonging to the Tickseed family, ‘Crème Brulee’ has larger flowers than most Coreopsis in its family. (PPAF) ‘Crème Brulee’ has a plant height of 24” and a spread of 18”. The bright green thread leaf foliage makes a great contrast with the flower color. The Grass 'Graziella' Maiden, Miscanthus sinensis 'Graziella', is an earlier blooming, more compact maiden grass. It has slender green foliage on clumps with large white blooms in late summer. The fine texture of the leaves set it apart from other garden grasses. 'Graziella' is easily grown in average, medium, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade. Although it is a versatile ornamental grass, the clumps of this plant need lots of room. This grass is tolerant of a wide range of soils from well-drained sandy soils to the heavy clays. Lamium Ghost, Lamium maculatum 'Ghost', has a large mound of all silver leaves, which becomes is a great backdrop for its attractive clusters of bright orchid purple flowers!
